I noticed the shoes with no strings too from both pix. Not long ago Levi's made slip on shoes like that with elastic inserts on each side, therefore no laces needed. I tried to buy a pair and the only place that had any size under 11 was England. I ordered them, but when they got here the were tie shoes with laces. I basically have that same guitar, but with cats eye sound hole and trapeze tailpiece and it was hand signed for me by the entire band the 1st time I went to The Gorge in WA. I tried to get George Harrison to sign it, but he passed away before he could send the pickguard back to me.

Trying something I haven't had in years. My mom used to fry small chicken legs and thighs in a cast iron pan with green and red bell peppers. That's what I'm cooking today wishing my mom was still here to have supper with me. The chicken smells great, can wait to add the bell peppers and get that flavor into the chicken. gonna be eatin' good today. And the house is gonna smell great!!!

I'd like to see a tribute single released that contains "Waiting For Tonight" and "A Face In The Crowd", to me that would be a single with 2 "A" sides!

I've been sitting here since Tom's passing listening to his music and watching video's and concerts from the past and I keep noticing that little smirk of a smile on his face that he always had. I sit here and get that same smile on my face thinking that Tom was thinking that "I finally made the big time" and he sure did. Tom's voice (that he never liked), his moves on stage and his humor will never be matched again. He was truly one of a kind and a fighter in every way. I'm going to miss Tom more than I can say. R.I.P. my friend and brother.

No, I've been listening 24/7. Why would I stop listening to someone that has been such a huge part of my life? Without Tom, I wouldn't know any of you here and experienced all the times we spent together. It's more than a sad time in our lives, but Tom wouldn't want it that way. He'd want us to celebrate his life and that's what I'm doing. All I have now is the music and I'll use it to the fullest for the rest of my life. TPATH is the greatest American band ever and certainly the greatest live band of all time. I'll miss him greatly, thinking I'll never see a show again, never getting a new LP and never hearing his voice telling his funny stories. YES, I'll miss Tom Petty, but he will always be right beside me listening to the music. God Bless You Tom.

I can't see The Heartbreakers going on as a band, the main link holding the band together is gone. And more than that, I don't think they would ever try to be THAT band again without Tom. They might try to tour solo with their own music or just play as studio musicians, who knows? I'm sure that The Heartbreakers are not thinking of that now. They have lost a brother and are trying to recover from their loss. As always, only time will tell. And the problem with time is, time takes time. We are the extended Petty family and it hurts like hell to lose our friend and we'll probably never get over it. The good thing is that we have 40 years of his life and music and video's that he gave us that we can watch and listen to everyday.

^  Sure, we could have a great time making music. BTW, I got the Les Paul yesterday and it looks great. All I did yesterday was unpack it to make sure all is OK. I didn't plug it in and try it though, cuz I just wasn't in the mood and have been reading tributes to Tom. I may try it out later today or tomorrow at the latest. The news of Tom has seemed to drain the life out of me. Tom was more than a singer/songwriter to me, he was an inspiration to stand up and fight for what you believe in, and more importantly he was like a family member and brother. I'll miss him greatly.

^^  I was wondering that too Ryan. Was the tour filmed for a 40th Anniversary DVD? It seems that Tom had so many things planned to complete after this tour. Remaster & Reissue all LP's on vinyl, a 40th Anniversary DVD, a Mudcrutch LP, more years of The Buried Treasure Show and so much more. And most importantly, spend a lot of time with his family. I can understand not touring anymore, I learned that from The Beatles, but we still had new music and then the solo years. With Tom's passing, we not only lost the tours, but all future music and that is especially devastating in the world we live in today. We need Tom to show the light and lead the way. Luckily for us, Tom gave us his life and music for 40 years and his music will live on forever in our hearts and minds. Thank you TOM

Nah, the Farm isn't being swallowed up by anyone or anything. It sounds like you are thinking about shutting down the site for lack of interest. Tons of people don't use Facebook or even smartphones, and that's where Mudcrutch Farm steps in. The Farm isn't what it was in 2000 because people move on to try these new things and when they can't figure it out, give up on everything. That's not a reason to consider shutting down the site. A lot of us OLDIES don't post anymore, but I do to keep this site going. I've always tried to post things to bring new fans to the site. You ask what is Mudcrutch Farm. Well, I'll tell you. It was a dream of Tom Petty's that never worked out. BUT he never gave up and went on to become 1 of America's greatest bands and then after 30 years brought back his beloved dream of Mudcrutch! He never gave up and should be an inspiration to all people of the world to never give up on your dreams. And by that I mean you as Mudcrutch. #2 Where do we go from here? Add #3 too. Maybe try adding video's of TPATH or even video's from members of themselves doing TPATH and even covers of other bands to draw new fans. Just make sure everyone has their songs covered from law suits.....lol. #4 What should stay the same....Most of the posting should stay, people DO have things to say. The last thing I'm going to say is that I believed in you when I 1st found this site and traveled across the state to meet you when you were at Bowling Green and we spent the night partying around town and finally at what you called a flop house...lol. We left the next morning for Milwaukee to see TPATH at Summerfest 2003 and we had the best of times meeting all the Mudcrutch Farm members. I still hope to get together with everyone again. All we have now are memories, but with your help keeping this place alive, we have hope of doing it again. Hang in there Ryan, I believed in you, believe in us. Thanks....................your friend... Nurk.

Facebook came and Facebook will go. It's just a poor people's version of a reality TV show, you can't make the big time on TV, so you play the small game on your PC. What people don't know is that Facebook is following every move you make. They know your name and address and that means you are NOT a secret. AND if Facebook is hacked, you are history. I'm not a Facebook supporter or user and will never go back there again. There are better places to visit and express your thoughts. AND you are here at that place right now. Have fun!

I haven't said much, cuz I'm still in shock! My prayers go out to the entire Petty "Family". Very few people have influenced my life besides my parents and grandparents. All the rest were musicians, from The Beatles to Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers. Their dedication to life and music are unsurpassed. I am so glad that I saw every concert I could over the years and have those memories. Without Tom, we wouldn't be here now. Because of Tom, I met a lot of you and we had the greatest of times. We have to keep going and keep the TPATH legend alive, it's the least we can do. God Bless Tom Petty.
