nurktwin got a reaction from StephanieEarl in A new family member
My nephew and his wife just had their 1st baby this morning at 10:10am Central Time. The new baby boy weighed in at 7 pounds, 13 ounces and his name is Danny, after his grandfather and my brother Danny.

nurktwin got a reaction from Marion in My Husband
That's great Marion, I'm so glad for Pete and you. I remember when my surgeon released me to my Dr. It was a great feeling that I was going to be OK. The most amazing thing that I wanted was to lie on my left side, not my back. It's small things like that, that make you thank god that you are still alive.

^ I'm sure they thought of that long before Tom's passing, but it may have brought it up in their minds again. After all, most of these guys and girls are now in their mid 70's. I don't think any of them will actually retire, they are just not going to tour anymore. They will still keep recording and releasing LP's. Most music and movie stars never stop because they love what they do. Most say they can never stop, because it's all they know. Tom would never stop his music to get a job in a steel mill, it's just not who they are. Retirement is only a thing in your mind, it never really happens. IF you retire like me, you'll find something to keep you busy more than your old real job. Luckily for me, it's back to the beginning with music.

nurktwin got a reaction from Timflyte in Rock N Roll Drive-In
I've noticed that a lot of movies have been taken down in the last couple weeks from youtube (A Hard Days Night) for one. In the past couple days, full movies that I was going to present have also been removed (Elvis-Jailhouse Rock & Frankie and Annette in Beach Blanket Bingo) so this could become a problem for the R&R Drive-In. I did notice that these movies are available on youtube in the movie section, but you have to pay $1-$3 to view the movies!!!!!!!! I will not subject myself or you to view any of those movies that cost money to view. I'll continue to look for free movies to present. So far, it seems that full concerts are available for free, and IF that's all I can get, we'll go with that. I'd also like to make this like a real drive-in and post a cartoon before each show and then a short intermission video before the main feature. Who knows, maybe someday, we'll have a double feature!!!

Hi kids, I thought this weekends movie would be a snap since I posted it earlier on "Classic Rock Video of the Day" a while back. I went back and clicked it to play and it has been taken down!!! It was TPATH. I've just spent the past 5 hours looking at 3 other videos for this weekend and have another 2 to look at and that will take at least 3 more hours. BUT, I just ran across this vid of TPATH from 1978 and am going to post it here and now to get you over the middle of the week blues (humpday). As always, put it on full screen and crank up the sound, it's about 1 hour long. Enjoy!!

nurktwin got a reaction from Lorra in "The man who makes us who we are..."
I agree with all of you that Mike is the best guitar player out there now. His guitar playing is perfect at any style of playing. Mike is a student of guitar playing by many guitarists, especially George Harrison that makes every note perfect. Mike is a guitar hero, and most likely the last one for MANY years to come.

I'd like to see a tribute single released that contains "Waiting For Tonight" and "A Face In The Crowd", to me that would be a single with 2 "A" sides!
