i saw them in cleveland on their 1st tour!!!!!!!!!!! it was at the public auditorium, the same place the beatles played in 1964, when the place was going wild and the cops stopped the show and took the beatles off stage til everything cooled down.

that song is 'lift me up' from jeff's armchair theatre cd. jeff and george worked on that album and i also have that dvd of the wilburys where they are all listening to tapes of this and other songs in that dimly lit livingroom.

that's amazing. he got arrested for assault! for shaking hands! 3 times and being cleared in 2006. and even the FBI said it was only 'olive oil' on his hands???? i always have olive oil on my hands, does that mean it's time to do something and get away with it? i hope the FBI gets my case!!

i know this isn't "the youtube" thread, but it's jeff's birthday and alot of us farmers got to see him play at the hollywood bowl with tpath. i filmed this song, but don't have it online, so i thought of our great friend john (zombiezookeeper) and knew that he filmed it too and he had it online. so i looked up ZZ's online video and here it is, thanks john:

otis was at nelson's house in 1981 listening and mixing music at 4am and they were getting a little cranked up, when nelson joked they should start a band called 'the trembling wilburys'!!! well, years later when they did get together in bob's garage studio with george, jeff, roy, tom and bob all there, recording and having a great time, george tapped jeff on the shoulder and said 'hey jeff, this is it, the wilburys'. the rest is history.

like an old prospector told me when i was looking at some gold mines in the mountains of NE cali a few years ago, "i can see a gemstone in a donkeys ass from 300 yards away, but i can't see what's right in front of me"!!!!!! i can see far too, but need reading glasses to order off a menu!! i use the cheap $5 ones from dollar store or anywhere and that's really not good.
