  1. you're right katie, getting packages from ticketmaster makes me want to skip the whole tour.
  2. i guess he didn't care about himself, so why should we?
  3. well, you know what PT Barnum said. i rest my case.
  4. it was a great show. i remember that when the sun was setting and it was almost dark that the wind kicked up from behind the stage from the river and tom's hair was blowing all over the place....lol.
  5. it's beautiful, you park at the top and look down at the stage and boats in the river behind the stage. it's just that it's in the middle of nowhere. i know i don't have any pix on this new puter, but i'll look on my b/u pc and post a couple pix of the gorge.
  6. kira, the gorge near portland is not the gorge that the show will take place. i actually drove from portland to the gorge and with some unexpected stops, it took us about 9 hours to get there!! the special package tix get to the venue the last minute at will-call and you find out your seat when you open the envelope.
  7. lol sharon, book it gina, these kids are always early or late. take it from a male pro, women are never on time!!!!! see ya in LA.....lol.
  8. from what i see, feb 4th is open season, get tix if you can. emmie, it sounds to me that your internet provider has blocked the site. get into email settings and tell them to allow this site and hcc to send you emails. hope that works for you.
  9. ryan, i think i saw that the packages will go on sale thursday jan 31st. i'll have to check that again.
  10. BTW, this is VERY important. if you buy the special packages, bring the phone # to HCC. if you're tix aren't there at will-call, you'll need it to call them and get your tix there fast!!!!
  11. when you think of the 2006 tour prices, about $75, the special packages weren't that far out of line for $200. you got a great seat, special laminated tix and a $100 gift certificate to the tpath store. so take away the $100 certificate that you shop with and you are down to $100 for the ticket, only $25 more than going through all the headaches with ticketbastard, and you got a special ticket, good seat and peace of mind. i should retract that "peace of mind", i started to worry at most shows when my ticket wasn't there at will-call for most shows until the last minute. they did get there before the opening acts, but it's kind of scary standing alone in the dark (2 nights in a row at the greek) after all your friends are already in the show and wondering if i'd ever get in. overall, it worked and i'll probably do it again this year.
  12. here's how it works: you are allowed 8 tix for the whole tour, so if you go by yourself, you can get to 8 shows. if you have a party of 4 people going, you can only go to 2 shows because that makes 8 tix. as far as the seating, i used the special packages on all the 2006 shows i went to, they were $200 each. tix are at will-call and always get there the last minute after everyone else is in the venue. i ended up in 2nd row for 1 show, 5th row for another, but every other show i was in front row between mike and tom. if you are going to travel to the gorge for the 1st time, make plans early, i think it was about a 5 hour drive from seattle and it's in the middle of nowhere. the closest place to stay besides the camp ground is moses lake, about a 30 minute drive east of the gorge. it's a small place with a few motels and 1 hotel that i stayed at. so book early. if you don't want to drive from seattle, you can get a flight on alaska air to moses lake, but you'll need a car to get to the venue. the gorge is a great place to see a show, but it's sooo far out of the way. i think i'd rather see them at key area in downtown seattle, where you can see the sites and pick from ton's of restaurants to eat at. and they have a rock museum too.
  13. lol ames....."they have to pee"
  14. lol danny, just get 5000 wings ready for the farmers.
  15. kira, i can see what you mean, but i can also disagee on some points. writing here or anywhere is hard, cuz all you see is text and that doesn't mean shit, because you'll never know the feeling of the person that wrote it or even sent you an email. feelings are gone on the net and that causes alot of arguments that are over nothing. ppl just read text and may see it the wrong way. everyone has a mind, whether is sane or not, but everyone has to keep their mind open and more importantly know where they are and what they are doing.
  16. i did't choose yet, this is harder than i thought. i'm trying to look at it from a rich rock stars eyes. fame will get you groupies (so #1 & 5 could be classified together) and lets face it, groupies can be scary. they burned tom's house, killed john lennon and stabbed george harrison! so #'s 1 and 5 are out. parties? well we all have them, but no one famous comes to them. #4, out. high pay? if you are famous and rich, you don't need high pay, #2 out. touring? it's alot of hard work, but that's where the money is most of the time. stars do it, but i don't think they love it like we think they do, #6 out. lastly, creative. i think they enjoy this the most, because they can do anything they want until they get to the record company and they don't like it. that's why the beatles started apple and so many more groups started their own labels. they still have to go to the big companies to distribute the cd's, but they have some control over everything. finally, i'm gonna go vote for creativity. thanks for reading this long winded bs....lol.
  17. what they failed to mention is that when these kids start a site they are opening themselves to the world and they don't have the whiskers to understand that and need people over 40 to monitor them. i understand that kids need a little space but when i was a kid "my space" was to listen to my parents and do what they told me or i'd get my ass kicked!. try that today with your kids and you'll be doing 10-20 years in no time at all. but call your friends or im them like emmie said, and god only knows they all have cell phones. as far as the 40 year old factor, why not? they already took away 90% of our rights, come to my house and take my god damn computer too. how can a country be so great and so bad a the same time?
  18. lol ref, getting whacked is part of it, it's not like getting knobbed....lol. i have to agree with WS and beth, a beatles movie. help, a hard days night or even better let it be.
  19. go ringo, kick some ass. btw, where were you hiding at the imperial ballroom, i didn't see you.....lol.
