  1. i'm all for cures and whatever, but all this article told me was that now they think women should have 2 tests. and that means more money for the dr's and pharma companies. and, do you really think your healthcare co will pay for 2 tests? as far as the #'s go, that's bullshit, 33% of american women die because they can't afford a pap, let alone this test because they don't have heathcare. who writes this stuff, a millionaire or the dr's? we can spend $10 billion a day on a war that no one wants, but we can't fix our own country and help our own people! and i can't wait to see the figures on our mission to mars, wtf is that? all i know is that no one in washington dc has a clue on how to fix things. oh, btw, when you go vote for president in Nov, just write in my name.....LMAO.

  3. LOS ANGELES (Billboard) - An independent Miami label says it plans to release never-before-heard Beatles live recordings made in 1962 at the Star Club in Hamburg, Germany.

adscout.php?ord=[randnum]Fuego Entertainment has partnered with British producer/promoter Jeffrey Collins to put out his catalog holdings. They say those include a live Beatles performance of 15 songs at the club.

No release date has been set for the recordings, which the label claims are the first to feature drummer Ringo Starr as part of the group. Other Beatles recordings from the Star Club have been released, but Fuego says its collection includes previously unheard tracks, such as covers of Hank Williams' "Lovesick Blues" and Maurice Williams' "Do You Believe."

Other live Beatles tracks the label says it holds include "Twist and Shout," "I Saw Her Standing There," "Hippy Hippy Shake," "A Taste of Honey," "Money," and "Ask Me Why," which can be heard in other recorded Beatles performances at the Star Club.

Collins, who now lives in Florida, says he got the original tapes at the time from a DJ he had booked for the club the night of the Beatles' performance.

When he got the tapes, which the label says were recorded with the club's permission, "they were in terrible condition," says Collins. Decades later, he was able to digitally remaster them "to make them sound coherent," but says the Beatles' Apple Corps. rebuffed his 1996 overture to release the tracks.

The lack of a release date illustrates the obstacles involved in releasing Beatles-related product. "Through legal channels, we will be making these albums available for release," says Collins. "The Beatles know these tapes exist and their lawyers know these tapes exist. It's a matter of certain legalities."

"We don't have a comment as such but not surprisingly are looking into the claim," says an Apple spokesperson.

  4. LONDON (Reuters) - Veteran British rock band the Rolling Stones has signed an exclusive worldwide recording agreement to release its next album through Universal Music Group, prompting speculation that it could leave EMI.

EMI has been hit by a wave of bad news in recent weeks, with key artists threatening to walk away from the company after its new owner, financier Guy Hands and his private equity group Terra Firma, unveiled plans to cut up to 2,000 jobs.

A statement released by the band on Thursday said it had signed a one-album deal for the group's next release which is due in March -- the soundtrack for a film by Martin Scorsese called Shine A Light.

A spokesman for EMI said the agreement only covered one album but an industry source told Reuters that the EMI and Rolling Stones deal was due to expire shortly and said the group was considering its options.

The Shine A Light soundtrack will receive a physical and digital release across Universal Music's labels around the world.

Shine A Light draws on footage from two Stones concerts at the Beacon Theatre in New York in late 2006, which included guest appearances by Jack White of the White Stripes, Christina Aguilera and Buddy Guy.

The movie also features rare archive scenes and more recent behind-the-scenes footage and interviews.

The Rolling Stones, one of the biggest bands in rock'n'roll history with album sales estimated at more than 200 million, embarked on a two-year world tour in 2005 which ended in London last August.

EMI said on Tuesday it would cut a third of its staff and many artists after it struggled in recent years with a poor release schedule, Internet piracy and the move to digital sales.

Universal is a unit of Vivendi.

  5. what i'd like to see won't happen (too much ain't enough, long version for 1). i know they will do 4 shortened versions of big hits. not that i want to see all of these, but here is what i think:

    1. free falling ( i hope not)

    1-A. american girl

    2. running down a dream

    3. i won't back down

    4. you wreck me baby

i hope tpath will do fast rocking songs and let the world know what we have for 30 years. long live tpath.

  6. i have a couple times, but the thing that sticks in my mind the most is when ALOT of us went to philly to see tpath at the OLD spectrum. it was a cold ass nite in nov, about 5 degrees below zero. we met outside and waited for the doors to open. once in, a fellow farmer had reserved tables for all of us to eat, thank you dear, you know who you are. while we were eating, alot of the girls got itchy pants to go upstairs and find our seats, so we did. after we went to get our seats, jackson browne came into the restaurant and bar!!! he signed auto's and said hello to everyone. AND WE MISSED IT!!!!!!!!!!! i should have known better to listen to a woman.....lol.

  7. here's another thing i do. buy or make italian sausage rolls, cut the end off and scoop out the bread and eat it. then stuff the roll with hot peppers or whatever you like, cooked food or not, like fried chicken with peppers and onions, or even steak. my point is, that us italians were doing this before fajitas were born....lol.
