:icon_laugh: What a great write-up. Welcome to The Farm Doug!

"The band might as well have shown up on our doorstep with flowers" - now wouldn't that be nice???? :003:
-
FYI for those who are interested - first filmed solo performance since 1987 - shown in two parts. My local station is airing this on July 17 and 20th. Remaining shows in the Soundstage season include Matchbox Twenty and Kenny Chesney.

How about those Heartbreaker hotties! Jeans, butts, Benmont & too - lol - great pix!
-
That's a hoot! It really is a good send-up of Rock of Love and Brett Michaels! LOL

^But when do you know you're too old? That depends, too. Growing up people who were in their 30s were "too old." Now that I'm in my 40s I don't feel 'too old" for most things....

I do eat healthy most of the time, and really should take a multivitamin - but I don't.

Yes, for the first time in my adult life, I can say I am living within 50 miles of where I was born.

Happy birthday Nurk! Have a terrific day.

-
Maybe - if I remember and get the station.

I had a great 4th, too. I dropped over to a friend's house and was invited to join their group as they made their way to the fireworks out at the local casino. Perfect summer evening, yet cool enough for a light jacket. Soft breeze blowing smoke from fireworks away from the crowd. 180 degree view of open skies & smaller fireworks being sent into the sky by people before the main event. The 'big' show was excellent and we had a great parking place. Show lasted 30-45 minutes. Terrific way to end the evening!

1. What drink wakes you up best in the morning?
A fruit smoothy, tea, or water.
2. During the day, what do you drink to keep going?
Decaf tea and water on work days. Not at work? Cream of Earl Grey caffinated tea, water, and the occasional soda.
3. Do you drink the recommended 8 glasses of water per day? Why/why not?
Yes. I always have a glass of water nearby during the work day. Why? I believe the water helps keep me hydrated, thus keeps my systems functioning along smoothly. I miss the water if I don't have it.
4. What are the ingredients of your favorite mixed drink? (Doesn't have to be alcoholic!)
It's a fruit smoothie - whatever fruit is handy, protein powder, fruit juice.
5. Are you a soda drinker? If yes, which soda is your favorite?
An occasional soda drinker. I love Vernor's Ginger Ale and Vanilla Coke.

Love 'em. One of my favorite 4 of Julys was spent with my sister's family when the kids were quite young. The fireworks started and the adults "oooo'd" and "ahhhh'd" along with the kids... The evening was really special because we also 'named' the fireworks as they exploded: Now that's a spectacular DoozyWopper! I love that SparkleShiner! etc.

I don't diet, but here are things that make eating well a challenge:
- cookies, (any kind I've made myself) PLUS Oreo Double Stuffs and the sugar cookies with frosting from LoftHouse - get 'em at your supermarket
- tea, a pot of caffinated Teavana Earl Grey Creme and I don't need food (except cookies)
- holidays that have food attached: Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc.
- restaurant food. the portions are huge!
- candy bars and ice cream and desserts
- butter, lucious butter
I believe I could have dedicated the entire list to specific cookies! :003:

3 times - I was out of town.

Best thing for me is the weather. Today it was 80 and sunny with low humidity - love it!

This past week was good. It started out with a good friend and I having breakfast and walking the beaches of Lake Erie, moved on to TPATH with my sister and niece, then returned to work - which was easy and productive this week. Yesterday I worked around the house, did laundry, bought a new bedspread ensemble. I joined BookMooch and already have 5 books to send out to people. Good week!

By a long shot, religious views. For many people, even questioning the religion/faith their brought up in is out of the question.
-
Not a bad mix. I listened for a bit this morning. It seems like every 3rd song is written by TP and includes some album deep cuts:
Breakdown - TPATH
Dani California - Red Hot Chili Peppers
All Right Now - Free
All My love - Led Zeppelin
Finding Out - TPATH
3AM - Matchbox Twenty
Til I Hear It From You - Gin Blossoms
Life Is A Highway - Tom Cochrane
Lyin' Eyes - The Eagles
This Old Town - TP

Band Together: Internal Dynamics in U2, R.E.M., Radiohead and the Red Hot Chili Peppers by Mirit Eliraz. If you're a fan of these bands, you will enjoy this book. It's a rather academic take, yet still a unique look at what makes the bands tick. Wish more interviews discussed the internal dynamics of bands - so interesting! -
1. Last party you went to? Boring Christmas party at the boss's house.
2. Do you sing in the shower? No way!
3. Have you ever fired a gun? Nope.
4. Where do you call home? Mount Pleasant, Michigan -- at least right now.
5. What's your favorite board game? Lifestories, where you share stories with fellow players and everyone wins.
