  1. 1. What are you reading?

    Eifelheim by Michael Flynn

    2. What did you last do that went horribly wrong?

Got married - lol. Fortunately the divorce went smoothly.

    3. Do you prefer dogs or cats?

    Cats

    4. Would you rather live in the city or country?

Remarkably, a small town. It took a long time for me to realize that small towns suit me better than big cities. But let me be within an hour of a city, please!

    5. Have you ever walked away from someone you considered a friend?

    Yes.

  2. Island Salad

    for 4+ people

    For The Dressing

    3 tablespoon honey

    3 tablespoon lime juice

    2 tablespoon canola oil

Zest of one or two limes

    Combine ingredients and set aside.

    For The Salad

1 cup sugar snap peas, trimmed

    1/2 head romaine lettuce

    1 avocado, sliced

    1 mango, cubed

    1/2 red onion, thinly sliced

1/4 cup coconut, shredded and lightly toasted (or more)

To toast coconut - place in 250/300 degree oven for about 5 minutes until coconut is darkened. Watch closely.

Place peas, lettuce, avocado, and red onion in salad bowl and toss to combine. Toss with enough dressing to lightly coat then sprinkle with coconut. Serve immediately.

This recipe was developed by the folks at www.relishrelish.com - Love it!

  3. 1. What is your favorite fruit? Mango

    2. At the end of today, do you think you'll feel spent or refreshed? It's 5:30pm and my work day is over. I'm refreshed it's over, and refreshed it's the weekend!

    3. Who is the last person you greeted at your door? A neighbor.

    4. What was your last illness? Allergies as the winter thawed into mud season (umm, that's spring around here, except it stays muddy and cold until May or June.)

    5. Friday fill-in: Late at night I'm ____. Either sleeping or staying away with the help of caffeine...working on some project that I just can't put down.

  4. I caught the last hour or so of this - and it was extraordinary. I got a kick out of the opening sequence for the Flaming Lips...Wayne inside a HUGE clear plastic ball carried aloft by people in the audience, and a big gong on stage. Pearl Jam's set was as described also -- Eddie Veddar did very well on the vocals and man, can he scream.

Did you catch Pete's comment towards the end of The Who's set -- I don't remember exactly what he said. Something like, "Thanks Viacom for not giving us some $*#ing statue." LOL.
