I'm happy to tell you all that this Saturday evening I am doing a 5 song guest set on a radio show called "The Set List." I'll play CD's and introduce the tracks & explain my "theme" for building this particular collection of music (1 TP song included!) The show is from 9pm-11pm Eastern, and I don't know when my set will be on. If you're in the mid- or northern area of Michigan, you can probably pick up WCMU at 89.5 FM. Otherwise, listen live online at http://www.wcmu.org/radio.html
A complete track listing will appear on The Set List's myspace page
Regarding the upcoming show, the site says "The Set List will spin Seabird and The Last Shadow Puppets, MI artists Those Transatlantics and Ultraviolet Hippopotamus, and Julie's guest set takes us on a journey." There are also old set lists and songs from previous shows. Your ears will get a workout listening to the show -- it's an interesting combination of music -- old, new, alternative, classic. And, the host is always looking for other listeners to do guest set lists...

:003: What a great review Kira! I can really feel the energy and emotion of your experience. Can't wait for the next review....

Congrats Flower! I've never won a TPATH trivia contest on the radio, but waaay back when I was a young thing, I often won an album by reporting the local football score first. Matter of fact, that's how I got Fleetwood Mac's "Rumours"...

The local PBS stations, VH1, BookTV.

Privacy, without a doubt.

Hope you had a great day Beamish!

I said the singer's voice, but truly - there needed to be an option for all of the above. I "soak up" the whole experience of going to and being at the concert.

Nothing I'd call "fun" or exciting" - laundry, cooking, cleaning, writing & planning for an upcoming event...

LOL! I think we all need to revamp our occupations now -- from now on I'll be known as the "Webinar Wonder."

Another update --
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers 33.53 %
Dokken is still the nearest competitor at 24.18 %
Guns N' Roses are running 3rd with 20.62 %

That's too funny.

His secret love is researching old documents. He has to wear gloves to protect the documents. Plus, he has stock in a glove company and is hoping that by wearing gloves all of the time, gloves will again return to fashion and therefore increase his personal net worth. :003: [LOL - I have no idea where that came from.]

It actually doesn't freak me out at all. It's just another one of those weird things we humans do...

Who Killed Bambi - I'm a sucker for any music movies.

Vegas and every single Theme Parks I've ever seen (fortunately there haven't been many.) I thought Vegas was just like a theme park....

Friendly, pleasant, low-key. I bring a book along, but am usually OK to talk, too. Except during take off & landing -- my nose is glued to the book.

Very Happy Birthday Flower - hope it's been a gorgeous day!

Well at least he's not going to EAT the placenta. Some people do that, you know.... Wikipedia says "Although the placenta is revered in many cultures, very few customarily eat the placenta after the newborn's birth. Those who advocate [eating the placenta] in humans, mostly in modern America and Europe, Mexico, Hawaii, China, and the Pacific Islands believe that eating the placenta prevents postpartum depression and other pregnancy complications."

I like the dreads best. Sexy!

Marshmallow, marshmallow, marshmallow. And I prefer them burnt to a crisp... you know, when it's possibly to pull the outer covering off and retoast? Yummmmm!

I don't play them. We did have the old Pong back in the day, but I don't think that counts as much of a video game anymore.
