I don't have one yet. I've had and closed both myspace and facebook.

Every so often, but a cabin or hotel is preferred.

(I literally just posted this in the creative corner/books thread before I came here to answer today's question:()
I recently finished reading "party of one: the loner's manifesto" by Anneli Rufus. If you like to spend a lot of time alone, read this book. You'll recognize yourself -- I sure did.

^I love audiobooks! They are terrific for long drives or air travel.

OOoooo - that's beautiful! I've tried growing orchids and have failed miserably each time.
-
It's busy. I'm working and chairing this Family History event at the end of October so I have a committee meeting at my apartment every Wednesday plus other work on the event throughout the week. It's also a lot of fun!
-
I love thick & hearty soups - chili, chowder, bean - Usually in a bowl
-
Rare wild moments here.

Happy Happy Nel! Have a great day....

1. Do you have a favourite cause that you support? The local PBS/NPR affiliate. That's it for now.
2. If so, how do you support it? Money. I have also voluteered to answer phones during pledge drives.
3. Have you been an active member of an organization (attending meetings, volunteering etc)? Yes. I'm an active member of my local genealogical group now.
4. Have you ever led any group? I'm currently the chairperson of our "open house" committee.
5. If so, how was your experience with it? So far it's going smoothly - no major ruffled feathers thus far.
-
OMG - I've bought so many stupid things in my life. Recently bought what I thought was a CD from the local thrift store. Turns out it was only the CD holder. LOL!
-
I did go to grad school for a year. Decided I hated academic work & didn't go back. No more school-school for me. Lifetime learning? Yep. Formal school? Nope.
-
SLQ I looked on the website. Looks like the guy worked at WMMS in Cleveland. There's artwork for a 1999 TPATH t-shirt here.
>>Correction. The guy on the far left of the photo is graphic artist Brian Chalmers. He drew the WMMS logo...
-
^^^Did someone say cake? Got an extra piece? - lol.
-
Hair roots? Yep. I have an appointment to have them covered up this Saturday.
Family roots? Yep. I had a genealogical adventure weekend not long ago: took pix of the grave markers, visited with distant relatives and looked at old pix. I'm also in the local genealogical society.
-
I enjoyed Rain on PBS. Right after the show, my local station aired The Who live - THAT was something else. Whew!
-
I adore this photo. There's something endearingly cute and simultaneously mischevious about the whole thing. I bought at 8x10 autographed version from Ebay not long ago. TP now hangs on my living room wall and I can oogle him in his jammies anytime I like :003:

As long as the humidity stays low, open the windows wide. Once the humidity creeps into the icky/sticky area the AC is turned on during the heat of the day...and off for the cooler nights.
-
OMG! How unbelievably cool.
-
^No problem Marion. One of my friends works with the host of the show, so I may be able to obtain a copy.
Listened to myself - yeah me! Even my mom and dad (in their 70s) tuned in and called me right after the show to say they enjoyed listening.
-
Oh sure. Shouldn't be a problem...so long as all those basic necessities are taken care of.
-
Very nice find. Luscious live photos. Thanks!

Do my cats count? lol! If not, then I did talk to myself before getting to work... and then said good morning to a co-worker.
