Congrats! Keep your eyes towards the stars, your feet on the path your heart feels. Stay strong

The Cure/Commodores mashup is actually pretty good. The vocals from the Cure's "Just Like Heaven" are 'mashed' with the the basic track for the Commodore's "Easy" -- and it works, in some twisted sort of way. The Petty/Beyonce mashup, though, is horrible.

I see several pix of TPATH (the best jeans in the world photo that were posted in the 'crazy fan' thread.) I also see pix of my g-g grandparents and my grandmother at age 16. Reminds me of where I've come from and how quickly it all goes by.

My family is getting together on Saturday, so I have no turkey dinner today. Instead, I hit two stores and picked up a few things for Xmas. One store was busy, another was steady, but not crazy.

Yep, this here farm is a very friendly place. Welcome!

Soups & stews. Heavier foods - meat, mashed taters, etc.

Not as a permanent residence, that's for sure. For a special vacation or getaway? Sure.

Nope. I stopped sending them out several years ago and haven't missed it.

Tasty! And oh so much potential innuendo - lol!

Absolutely. And walking away from it and finding my own sense of "god" was a long road I'm still journeying on.

Cool! Very nice job. And cute pic, too.

Gorgeous pictures! They remind me of various times I've driven through the area, too. Nothing but stunning, and it's hard to keep your eyes on the road....
One autumn day I drove from TN to GA to visit with friends. It snowed the night before my trip and my usual route (straight through the Smoky's via 441/Gatlinburg) was closed. Instead I drove The Tail of the Dragon. If you have a motorcyle or snappy sports car, you want to drive this road (318 curves in 11 miles.) My visit went fine and on the way home, I followed 441. Snow was still on the ground and people were out gawking. The combination of snow and autumn colors and a brilliant blue sky was breathtaking!

Sounds like a great evening! Glen must have been in some freak accident - I've seen a glass coffee table shatter. It was loud, scary, but no one got hurt -- except the coffee table.

Charter Cable provides TV & Internet. I've had no problems. I can also put in a good word for DirectTV as I had their satellite service for a couple of years and it was also a positive experience.

Always.

Not so famous chef in a small bistro...

Letters and poems.

Statewide, yes. I'm not sure about this area. I can say that there are houses that have been for sale for more than a year now...

Thank goodness the political hoopla will be over...or at least the ads will disappear.

French Fried or Mashed - love 'em!

Yep, he does. I definitely had a crush on him!

October 24 was the "Family History Detectives Day" I was chairperson of, so I've been putting off a number of projects...
*Get the home office in working order (started!)
*Send letters and packages I've had sitting around
*Readdress the budget & money
*Read up on blogging
*Contemplate Xmas gifts - it's that time of the year
*Take stuff to the thrift store
*Mom's birthday is coming up - what to do?
*Better organize and focus on the genealogical research
*and on and on...
(and yes, it was a very successful day. So successful we're doing it again next year and I'm chairing again!)
