  1. This was a tough call - I like all of these, but my tops are Live Theatre, Opera, and Book Readings.
  2. Say thank you and return the favor or pay it forward. A random act of kindness like that seems to brightens anyone's day.
  3. No, I'll definitely change. I seem to change to a different industry every 5-6 years, so I'll be "due" for a change in 2010 or 11...
  4. Yes, though lately not as frequently as in the past. With the weather getting nicer, I'll walk over and spend time reading magazines or just browsing through the stacks. They also rent movies for $1 each!
  5. 1. What is the last party you went to? Christmas party for genealogical society. 2. Would you say that you are a good worker? Sometimes. 3. Who can you talk with for hours? Michelle, Amber, Leslie 4. Who was the last person you greeted at your door? Mailperson. 5. Take this quiz - Are You Flirtatious, Fearless, Factual, or Friendly? You are Factual. You are highly intelligent, especially in areas that deal with concrete knowledge and facts. You are amazingly analytical. You can make sense of chaos without involving your emotions. If anything, you tend to be overly logical. It's sometimes hard for you to come to a decision, because you're too busy weighing all the options. People turn to you in times of trouble. They know that they can trust you to give good, well thought out advice. 6. Do you feel that the results of the quiz describes you accurately? Why or why not? Yes, I am definitely analytical and like weighing multiple options before making a decision.
  6. I currently have two cats. Ivan looks like a Russian grey and is peppy and quite the hunter. Jasmine is a Siamese, smart, sophisticated kind of cat (until she gets certain toys) who pretends Ivan doesn't exist.
  7. I was a horrible Girl Scout cookie salesperson. My current position requires me to solicit over the phone - fortunately most have requested information from us. And yes, I did have to seriously adjust my attitude towards phone salespeople to be able to succeed.
  8. That would be me, as I'm the only one here -- the cats cannot get to the mailbox.
  9. Watched it more than I care to admit to...so I've admitted it. Not that interested this season though.
  10. Lobster. Salmon with dill steamed in white wine.
  11. I caught a plane in February and went to Knoxville, TN for business. I trained some new clients how to use our software program, ate good food, bought books and music.
  12. Add me to the list of 80's alternative freaks here. :045: And I do have some Bay City Rollers around here if you really want to here them.
  13. I lived in Knoxville (3 hours East of Nashville) for several years so I have kind of an idea of what would be happening in the garden this time of the year. -Nashville is in Zone 7. -Winter cleanup and prepping soil for planting -Put any starter plants outside to begin acclimatizing, but don't leave them overnight. I think last freeze date is mid-March, but nothing is for certain. -Start planting any cool weather crops/plants to get a head start before the heat of the summer. Your lettuce's for example are tender, but will probably wilt in the heat of summer. -If there's a warning of frost, just cover the plants for the night. -Shallots are in the onion family -I never had any luck overwintering any herbs. Even if I brought the rosemary inside it died. -Love the sunflowers! -Nashville probably has garden/home tours - take them! You'll get so many ideas.
  14. I enjoy the vast selection available at Accuradio.com for several years.
  15. This was weird -- On the local news last night, story about the recent passing of medical marijuana laws in Michigan. One interviewed person who (I'm guessing -she was in a wheelchair) uses marijuana for medical purposes said, "Let's get to the point/Let's roll another joint/You don't know how it feels/To be me."
  16. What's the emoticon for "Bed Head"???
  17. I'm definitely a solitary person and both love and crave alone time. I also enjoy one-on-one time with a great friend or even smaller groups for dinner or something. But when it gets obligatory or it's someone I don't like - yech. Big crowds both raise me up (concert!) and tire me out (too many people.)
  18. I'll bet they can get a car into the same general area that the TPATH exhibit was. I can't see it easily lifted to the other floors as they get progressively narrower as you go up. I'm willing to bet the exhibit won't be a lot bigger -- couple guitars, an outfit, handwritten lyrics and posters. I saw both the TPATH and Clash exhibits and was disappointed; the displays couldn't match up to my expectations and/or love of the bands or other documentaries I'd seen. And nothing beats a live show!
  19. Welcome to the Farm Horace - this is a great place to celebrate TPATH!
  20. Joshua Tree - very expansive & American feel to it...
  21. I'll admit it, I'm a reality show junkie. And especially a junkie of "Idol" and "Dancing." Have succumbed to "Rock of Love" just to see the non-stop train wrecks. Watching dysfunctional people do and say dumb things makes me feel superior. Watched waaaaay too much HGTV over the years, too. Let's NOT hear it for decorating shows. Have been contemplating cancelling cable TV so I can get on with my life instead of wasting hours watching someone else's life!
  22. "Who are you?" Three words asking a simple question. Yet in responding you could go deep, you could go light, and the answer would reveal a lot about you. And yet I want to know what Spike likes, too...
  23. west side story the music man dr strangelove mary poppins the sound of music the graduate butch cassidy and the sundance kid
  24. Music first - just a single note can evoke a feeling. Books second. TV and Movies follow.
  25. Tea, Creme of Earl Grey from teavana.com preferred MouseHunt - a game on Facebook Alone time
