  3. Just posted to Facebook: “Something Good Coming” tomorrow! That is, the brand new video from Mojo premiering on AOL Music. Make sure to check it out. http://music.aol.com/
  4. Don't have a TV so didn't watch last night. However, got up and first thing this morning watched both Jefferson Jericho Blues & I Should Have Known It on www.hulu.com. LOVED IT! Stoked for Detroit in July!
  5. Lover's Touch was on Week 22 of Buried Treasure.
  6. Man, couldn't say it any better. Wow & Hot!
  7. 1. Soccer/Futbol: good times or couldn't care less? Football - American style. Great times in the past (dad was a coach) & couldn't care less now. 2. Do you have a favorite sport? No. Couldn't care less! 3. What's your favorite junk food? Cookies! 4. In your opinion, are professional athletes paid too much? Absolutely. 5. Which of The Heartbreakers (including Tom Petty), do you think would win a sports trophy? LOL - hmmm, what sport can we get them to play? Mike wins at finger wrestling. Tom wins at calling the cows home (they're seduced, can't resist...just like the rest of us.) :003:
  8. Working at eomega.org for two years, I talked with or met so many different people. Some highlights -- Babatunde Olantunji, Jimmie Dale Gilmore (and wife), Galway Kinnell, Jon Kabat-Zinn, Sharon Olds, Jennifer Louden, Alex & Alison Grey.... My interaction with them was very limited, usually assisting them as needed during their stay on the campus.
  9. I'm a wimp, too. No or minimal heat in food for me.
  10. Given recovery from the inevitable withdrawl symptoms, "longer" would be a return to the days before this stuff. So once I remember what I did with myself then, I'd be OK. I've been without cable TV for about a year now & can get a quick dose anytime online...life without a computer or cell phone is different, but entirely feasible - not that I want that to happen anytime soon!
  11. Yep, I was going to be at the Mount Pleasant show. I noticed today that the tickets have already been refunded to my credit card.
  12. Prefer window seat. Can't stand middle seat. But -if it's a short flight- can stand just about anything. And I LOVE when there's no one in the seat next to me.
  13. Due to lesions on Jojo's throat. Sorry I won't be seeing them on the 30th. http://loslonelyboys.com/WordPress/?p=329
  14. Yes, all the time in cold weather.
  15. Cool. I could "give" to charities much easier if I could play games for them. As you play the game, the dollar amount increases -- one penny at a time.
  16. Sweet! I'm happy to hear good news - the guys look delighted!
  17. Wish I could kick this vertigo. It's not as fun as you might think.
  18. It's a good question, Emmie, and a big question, too. I imagine other folks in countries who have a form of national health insurance are equally as puzzled. I am completely dumbfounded at how convoluted the issue has become. I've struggled with putting the confusion into words for you in an attempt to explain. I think it has something to do with our clinging to the idea of rugged individualism -- every man (woman/child) for himself... a fear of government telling us what to do... I would be happy to pay more in taxes to never, ever have to worry about losing a job and therefore health insurance. I'm also tired of shopping for health insurance like I shop for toothpaste. You know how when you go to a grocery store there's a row of toothpastes to choose from? Same situation with health insurance. There are hundreds (thousands?) of insurance companies to choose from. Then each company has a large variety of policies to choose from. And have you ever looked at a spreadsheet comparing the policies of one company to another? Or even the various policies of one company? Painful! I do want health insurance for everyone. Period. Preferably single payer source, and I'm not the only one. But I also know there are many out there who disagree with me, and there's a lot of misinformation out there, too.
  19. Kindle or something similar. I already have a little netbook.
  20. Christina Aguilera is definitely winning. TP ahead of MGMT by about 100 votes.
  21. Wow! That's one movie I'll want to see. I've got my copy of their first release around here somewhere....
