  1. 1. What is the most successful “home remedy” that you use, and how did you first discover it?

Homemade ginger tea for upset an tummy or "off balance" digestive system. I found it in a book...but used to also get Vernor's Ginger Ale as a kid - it does the same thing. Ginger tea works every time.

    2. Do you ever use sugar or salt substitutes? If so, which brand names do you use?

I've tried some sugar substitutes - ick!

    3. How often do you go shopping just to window shop, with no intention of actually buying anything?

    More often that I should.

    4. How often in those shopping trips do you actually end up buying something anyway, whether you needed it or not?

Most of the time, which is why I shouldn't!

    5. Take this quiz - How Do You Travel Through Life?

You run through life. Your journey through life energetic, fast paced, and spontaneous. You like to live for the moment, and you always prefer taking action to sitting still. You crave a lot of freedom in your life. You can feel burdened by too make rules and responsibilities. If you can do things your own way, you're really are able to shine. You are very good at understanding the world. (Sure doesn't feel like I'm running!)

    6. What would you most like to have or own by the end of 2010?

Have less stuff that is "meh", but more stuff that I love.

  2. Yes indeed, it was a great time! No surprises in the set list, though we did get You Wreck Me instead of Honey Bee or Driving Down to Georgia. I was delighted with "wreck."

Mike was in good spirits and high energy. A woman in the front row had a small sign that read, "Mike, we love you, drink water please" - or something like that. It made him smile! And he was grinning all night long. Band intros included Tom telling us that Mike was, "off the disabled list."

And dear god, did I have a good seat - 3rd row, almost smack in the middle with Tom right in front of me. Fabulous views of both Tom & Mike. Ladies, it was a good night for "jeans" & "buns" views, too. LOL!

Great show, must get some sleep now....here are some pix, a little blurry, but I was dancing & singing along more.

  3. 1. What LOCAL pizza joint or restaurant serves the best pizza?

Pisanello's. I also loved Guido's before it closed many years ago. And I had terrific pizza at a place I went to occasionally in Kingston, New York with a wood-burning stove - forget the name.

    2. You decide to order some pizza from a national chain

(eg..Dominos, Pizza Hut, Papa Johns...etc): which pizza chain are you most likely to order from?

Pizza Hut - though I have Little Ceasar's & Hungry Howie's within walking distance.

    3. What’s your favorite pizza from the menu of the restaurant from Answer #1?

    Something with mushrooms, ham, onions

    4. Which toppings do you not want to see on your pizza?

    Sausage, pepperoni, green peppers

    5. Take the quiz: What Pizza Topping Are You?

    Tomatoes

You are kind hearted and open minded. You're always up for something new. You like to experiment. You are easy going, and you pride yourself on not being judgmental. You can see the good in almost every situation. You prefer to keep things light and fun. You don't like heavy topics or pessimistic people. You believe that there's so much to celebrate. You're happy to just celebrate being alive!

    6. Thin, deep dish, pan, regular? What is your favorite kind of pizza crust?

Deep dish is fabulous occasionally, but a regular pizza will satisfy, too.

    4. How do you show a friend who is sad, a good time? By listening to them, and -depending on the person/situation-helping them to see light at the end of the tunnel (or at least the possibility that there MIGHT be some light.)

    5. What's your favorite rule to break? I like ePettyhead's idea of breaking the "no dessert before dinner" rule!

  6. 1. Do you remember which story in your childhood, told to you by your parents or grandparents, was your favorite?

    No, not really.

    2. Which childhood story do you remember being your favorite that you chose by yourself to read?

Yes, I have my favorite kids books with me now: Little Majorette, Little Swimmer, and a book called "Humbug Witch" - the 'witch' removes her hat, mask, etc. to reveal a little girl. Cute!

    3. What is the title of the first novel you read for pleasure?

Dear me, can't remember. I can say that reading was always very important in my family. I was reading at an early age, and tried to emulate my dad - who read (and still reads) about a book every other day or so. And I remember hauling armloads of books home from the public library on a regular basis.

    4. Which novel do you remember reading that really pulled you in and you couldn't stop reading till you finished the book?

The last three novels I read were (listed in order of enjoyment):

Revenge for Old Times Sake by Kris Neri

Running from the Deity by Alan Dean Foster

    Winter Garden by Kristin Hannah

    5. Take the quiz: Which Alice in Wonderland Character Are You?

    You are Alice

You are curious, brave, and inquisitive. You can't help but be interested in the world around you. You are a bit of a loner and a total daydreamer. Your inner world is very colorful and vivid.

At times, your real life seems dull and completely unbearable. You wish you could escape to a whole other world. While you have a wild spirit, you are quite gentle and polite. You tend to observe more than act - and you tread lightly.

    6. Do you agree with the quiz? Why? Why not?

Yes, this description does suite me.
