I love a sleepy dog. We have had two days in a row outside and he is worn out!

Put up outside lights, hang a bird feeder, laundry and grill a nice Sunday dinner.

Our sweet Toby passed away last Sunday. We had been out of town so his last days were spent with his grandma and grandpa. He had lots of outdoor fun. We got home Saturday, thankfully. He went out Sunday morning, came in and laid down and it was apparent he was failing. His heart finally gave out. We are very sad but so happy that we were here with him and the end was very peaceful. He lived to 14 years and 9 months! He was rescued at 2 years old. He was hit by a car two years later and lost his tail and displaced a vertebrae in his spine. The vet wanted us to put him down because he would never be 'normal'. I said no, we are taking him home. He had a great life here. We fenced in our 6 acres, he had a swimming pool and everything. We had him cremated and he will be buried out back by our other Golden, Willie. His remains are in a box that is inside a beautiful velvet bag embroidered with "Until we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge". He was such a good boy and we'll miss him so much. This is him last year when we raked leaves. We did that today and missed him laying in the piles so much! He was a fun snow dog! This was the summer before last when we had him groomed. His pants were so darling. I giggled at him everyday until it grew out. lol

We had a group of girls that I wouldn't want to mess with. lol And a couple of boys like that too. One of the girls ended up killing her sister. Always made sure not to get on her bad side. :eek:

It is all done and, yes, I go all out. The layout of this house begs for it. It's perfect!

No shopping for me. There is nothing I/we need that badly.

There is nothing worse than a rotting potato. We grow them and sometimes they rot in the ground. What a stench! Ewwwwww!
