  1. Some of both when I was little. I can't even remember the last time I dressed up and I got to work today and found out we are having a little party on Wednesday....with cash prizes. So I am about to put together something. If it turns out, I'll share it with you. lol

  2. My hubby is a Van Halen fan from back in the day so I agreed to go with him. Once again this was at our new downtown arena. This time our seats were on the upper tier. OMG!!!!! It is VERY steep and I was terrified at first. I did not dig it at all. Thankfully, we were back 3 rows from the edge because I guarantee I could not have sat in that row. They had a huge video screen behind the stage but they had these speakers hanging down so we couldn't see very good at all. That was disappointing.

The opening act was Ky-Mani Marley, Bob Marley's son. It was reggae with a little bit of a pop sound. It was pretty good.

After he was done playing, they flew this awesome 15 foot or so remote controlled blimp around the arena. It even had a strobe light and it was COOL! I want one. lol

So they take the stage....Dave was in a sparkly jacket and Eddie had camo pants on and no shirt. YIKES! Actually, he didn't look toooo bad. lol It was LOUD! The place is built for sports so the acoustics could be a little grating at times. Dave's still got the stage presence thing. He was jumping around and high kicking and everything. LMAO At one point, they brought out this giant blow up microphone with handles on it and he got it on like it was a horse and bounced around on stage! LOLOLOL Eddie did a 10 minute guitar solo. He's amazing. I might add here that my wisenheimer husband leans over and says...now you can tell your friends that you've seen a 'real' guitar player! He said to get a rise out of me. In reality, he is as big a Mike Campbell fan as I am. Okay, maybe he doesn't think Mike is 'darling' like I do. LOLOL

    Ain't Talkin' About Love

    Encore: 1984 /Jump

I enjoyed watching them, as much as I could actually see. They seemed to be having a great time which was fun to watch. As for little Wolfie...there was not a thing wrong with his playing. I know he has come under fire in some reviews. He was just fine and having a great time. Can you imagine being a teenager playing with Van Halen? I'll bet he couldn't believe his eyes the first time he played with them and he saw and heard the crowd!

It was a good show, maybe a little loud....ahhhh....the things we do for love!

  3. I got this from Southern Living...they are tasty little treats. It says it makes only one dozen, but I made them smaller. Also, my hubby doesn't like raisins so I left them out and there were just fine. :) Enjoy!
