I really suspected that this was coming. Clicking on the link over at Tompetty.com has resulted in an error message for quite awhile, but not now. It's funny, my husband always calls Wrong Thing to Do, the trailer hitch song. I guess Tom has got a thing for trailer hitches. I'm looking forward to seeing what this song is!

Mudcrutch will be releasing a new 7" for Record Store Day featuring two new songs, "Trailer" and "Beautiful World." The Mudcrutch facebook page just updated and posted this image. Mudcrutch 2 will follow later this year.

I wonder what Tom is doing now. It's odd that the Buried Treasure show is in re-runs in the middle of the season.

Tom being inducted along with Elvis Costello, Marvin Gaye Bernard Edwards from Chic and Chip Taylor. I always thought Elvis Costello would be a great 'opener' for The Heartbreakers on tour.
With Tom being on the east coast (assuming he attends his induction) in June, I wonder will the rest of the Mudcrutchers be there around that time too for a couple of shows. With Dirty Knobs playing a festival in Colarodo in July one would imagine that it's narrowed down to May and June for any further Mudcrutch show announcements, we shall see, but back on topic great to see Tom get this songwriter award, probably fair to say that he is underestimated by 'the masses' for his song writing when the discussion of the best of the best song-smiths gets going.
For me there are multiple layers and depths to Tom's song writing, sometimes the surface simplicity can be deceptive (simplicity is an art in and of itself, accessibility can be wrongly branded as an unworthy  lower art form by some 'critics' same sort of snobbish attitude to Charles Dickens who was too popular and accessible in his writing to get so called critical acclaim from the guardians of worthiness when it comes to authors).....Tom's accessibility in his songwriting is his greatest strength and where you take it from there in terms of meaning is in the ear of the beholder/listener...that's a great gift to possess in song writing.

Good for you!  I feel that way since I gave up most processed food and bad carbs.   I eat loads of fresh fruit and veggies and limit meat to chicken and fish.  I too have a treat once in a while but mostly I try to eat healthy and I feel great!  And if you want to feel even better, take up yoga every day!  It will make you feel amazing!  
Stay strong!  There is nothing more precious than your health!

Gosh, Ryan, it sounds like the timing would be right but my wings are pretty clipped these days by my budget because I've got a couple other trips coming up this year but if you work out a plan I would consider it.
