Yes to re-releasing it and/or a digital download. I watched that tape so much, I recall the opening "check check" and Howie strumming an acoustic guitar.

The groove is kind of similar to "When The Time Comes" but I knew I had heard this song before from Randall. That's it, Crazy World.  It was released several years ago by Randall and I bought it.  I like the song a lot but I forgot about it. Good for him getting one of his own on the album!

Out of everything they've pulled out over the years, this is by far my favorite. I instantly liked this song years ago when I first heard it and while I'm with you on the jamming, I'm still grateful for what they did extend at the end.

I was happy to come across this! I was hoping as I often do that they would let loose and jam on at the end to even further illuminate the spirit of the song, but then Tom gave the nod to finish the song. Rare live buried treasure!
 

Big Star Third will be performing the legendary Memphis band's album "Third/Sister Lovers" plus other hits in San Francisco at the Fillmore on Sunday, April 24th and at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, CA on Wednesday, April 27th.
The lineup includes Jody Stephens, Mike Mills, Mitch Easter, Ken Stringfellow, Chris Stamey, Jeff Tweedy, Ira Kaplan, Robyn Hitchcock, Dan Wilson, Brett Harris, Skylar Gudasz, Django Haskins, Jon Auer, Benmont Tench, Jessica Pratt and more.  It's a pretty amazing array of firepower aimed at reminding everyone of just how good the fabled music of Big Star was -- then and now!
The show will feature a full chamber orchestra led by the Kronos Quartet conducted by Carl Marsh, who wrote the original album orchestrations.

If you've listened to Jakob Dylan guest DJ-ing on Tom Petty Radio, you might have noticed that he said he'd just finished some recordings of a bunch of '60s-era songs.  I did a bit of digging and discovered that he, along with Beck, Regina Spektor, Cat Power and others did some live shows called "Echo in the Canyon," playing songs of the Beach Boys, the Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, and others.  There will be a full album sometime this year with recordings of those songs.

This is an interesting peek at Mike as bandleader.

You can sense it coming.

I think if you have the songwriting of Tom with the ethos of Mike when it comes to...can't stop...here it is...
...you've been warned...
...if you have the songwriting of Tom and Mike's approach to performing, there'd be more dynamic and exciting TPATH concerts with varied and interesting set lists! Whew!
Back to the Knobs, I shall check more of their material out.
