Wow, 'I Forgive It All' really does pull on the heart strings. It leaves it's mark from first listen, beautiful song that certainly stops you in your tracks in the vein of 'Angel Dream' and 'Alright For Now'. I'm hearing echo's of the stripped back spirit of Johnny Cash's American Recordings sessions about this one. Stunning song!

I caught Victim of Circumstance on Benmont's radio show today and it sounded, so, so good!  I love that song with Mike singing!  He sounds great!!  I'm so happy to hear Mike sing one of his own songs!!  I will record the show later this week and share it here when I get a chance.  Benmont is a good DJ!

Today is the birthday of Roy Orbison. I decided to watch a DVD bonus to album Mystery Girl. I love this video. I took a few screen shots from the movie. My favorite moments are when Mike and Roy playing song Careless Heart absolutely brilliant  аnd  video pieces from the studio where Roy, Tom and Jeff are recorded . Picture a little blurry  but it's good these videos are preserved for history

Friday I went to a concert at a little club in Gainesville called The High Dive. Road Turkey was headlining.  It was Stan Lynch's band in Gainesville in the 70's. The original lineup got together to play for this one gig and it was absolutely great, a real treat!  It was so much fun for us and them and I hope they will do it again because for me, the energy was right up there with Dirty Knobs show! They were so good!  This is the first time that I ever saw Stan play live and I loved it so much!  I was able to meet him briefly and shake his hand.  He was so nice and he was very tall and still as handsome as ever!  Man, just watching him play, his facial expressions were so familiar from all of the videos I've watched over the years.  I can't believe I finally got to see him play live!  They played mostly covers but they were GREAT!  Marty Jourard was fantastic on vocals, keyboard and saxophone and their lead guitarist blew us away!  Man, he was so good!!  The show was exciting and got better and better as the night went on.  It was the energy that drove everyone, the fans and band alike.  Really great energy.  I didn't know what to expect when I went there but I'm so happy that is was so great for all!  Please, Please, Please, fingers crossed, I hope they will play again!! 
Here are a couple of pictures and the one and only video I took.  It was one of the first songs they played.  I hope I will be able to get some of the other videos because I know other people took videos.  I really want them because they were really good!

Seems to be the same, yeah! I was so excited to hear it, that I didn't even realized that it was at first. Unlike last time around though, this time I was able to listen more in depth, and I really enjoy MC doing these things! So much fun, such a cool guy!

Wow, great to see Stan on the drums again.  And that kit looks just like Ringo's.  Just missing the logo on the front!

Wow! Just dropped my jaw here.. That is so cool!! Really, really jealous! Never heard RT before, although of course I've heard a lot about them, with Stan's background and all.. And now this, with or without the past, right here and now these guys are so much fun and sounds so good! Thank you so much for posting that video, Marion! Best and happiest surprise I've had in while. Really hope they keep on playing and that there will be more shows, recordings, to enjoy!
And it seems like a fun venue too! Did I say I was jealous..??
