Welcome home Ames!

Kianna, great pics! Nice to see you again!
This one is my favorite.....nothing like seeing Gator and Ape jammin' together like that guitar to guitar! Love that Ape guitar face! UM, UM, UM!

YAY! Great shots Teresa!! Thanks!

I'll take the music over the stink any day. The music is priceless.

Man, LA has so many amazing clubs. There is rock and roll everywhere! Thanks for the review, Ames!

Patty, I'm so sorry to read this. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family right now. I know how much you loved your mom. She's not suffering any more.

I forgot about that Toni!

I was fortunate enough to get to go to the show for a short time. I had the crazy idea that I could fly in, watch the show and then catch the red-eye home so I could be back home for a previous commitment on Sunday afternoon. My plan was flawed though and I had to leave to catch my flight midway through one of the most fantastic shows I ever saw. Our guys were burning it up! Sob!!!
First off, the new song, Never Gonna Own me is quickly becoming one of my favorites and it is so stuck in my head! LOL! That one should be on the radio!
Here are a couple of my pictures taken from my perch beside Ref. They aren't the greatest by you'll get the idea. I'm sure others will have better shots. You can't see him in these pics but Phil Jones was playing percussion.
It was a nice crowd. Rock and roll musicians everywhere! I couldn't place a lot of them though.
Peter Stroud kindly stopped by and said hello. He's such a nice guy. I knew he was with Sheryl Crow I just found out he was with Pete Droge and the Sinners, one of my favorite bands.
Brian Ray's band put on a great show too. I really enjoyed them. Brian's got some great songs and that cover of Cinnamon Girl was fantastic! What a great story. haha!
Thanks Dirty Knobs for rockin' my world!! Can't wait to see you again.

RIP Suzanne. You will be fondly remembered.

I wonder what this one is. That looks like a picture from when they were traveling with Dylan. I found it on Amazon along with the one above, both offerings from the UK.

Synopsis
This release celebrates the incredible live talent of Tom Petty and his band The Heartbreakers, with a whole host of rare archive performances. Tracks include 'Free Fallin', 'American Girl', 'A Woman In Love (It's Not Me)', 'Mr Tambourine Man', 'Refugee', 'Breakdown' and many more.

That looks like the UK version of Soundstage finally coming out.

-
HAHAHA! Eeeeeew! No wonder they burn that stinky incense at their concerts!
-
Yeah Nancy! But it was cool finding our way around LA on our own. What a trip!
That's pretty cool artwork!

Ringo's new album was backordered at my Best Buy. WTF?
-
What a cool surprise!
-
Great repeats! They should just play all of Tom's shows back to back for the month of January.

Today I learned that it's been August since I had my last haircut. No wonder it was limp and lifeless! It's bouncing and behaving now! :045:
-
Ooooh! I forgot! I'll pick it up at Best Buy tomorrow. The samples on iTunes sound great! I think it's worthy of the purchase of the real thing.
-
Maybe there is a different edition in other countries?

Soundstage from Chicago is brilliant! Totally worth the money. It's a beautifully shot show. I love the Gainesville show but the Chicago one is a better production. Get both!

They asked him to cut his song? WTF is wrong with those people? That's a ludicrous! I'm in your corner Ringo!
Thanks Conmae.
