    Looky what I stumbled upon on iTunes this morning.  New music from Tom!!  No fanfare or anything.  It was just there, released today.

    “Somewhere Under Heaven” is the first track to be released from Tom Petty’s forthcoming albumWildflowers – All The Rest. 


    Written by Tom and Mike Campbell and recorded in 1992, but forgotten in Petty’s archives until this year, “Somewhere Under Heaven” is a lost gem from one of the most prolific periods of Petty’s career, during which he wrote and recorded the album that became 1994’s Wildflowers.

    Tom Petty’s forthcoming album Wildflowers – All The Rest, which is composed of tracks written and recorded by Petty between 1992 and 1994, will complete the original Wildflowers album, which was initially intended by Petty and producer Rick Rubin to be a double CD.

    “Somewhere Under Heaven” is now available to stream and purchase at all digital retailers and can be heard during the end-credits of the Warner Bros Pictures movie Entourage, to be releasedtomorrow June 3rd.

    This weekend I watched the 2015 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction on HBO and it made me want to go back and look up Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers induction in 2002. It was touching to watch the acceptance speech. The band is so humble and it was good to see Howie and Stan and a little sad at the same time.

    I recall wishing I could watch it live at the time and I will never understand why it's not open to everyone to see and why it's so exclusive. I only saw this years show on HBO because Verizon is it open for free this month.

    It's nice to read that everyone is doing mostly happy things.  Rick and Beth, so glad to hear that Linda and Fred are doing well.  Wonderful news about the grandbabies.  It does change your life forever.  Pete and I are doing well and we are enjoying our granddaughters every chance we get.  Its funny that you guys mention Spring.  It feels like summer here already.  It's been hot and I was finally able to get into our pool today.  It felt good.

    Someone liked my review today so it brought me back here to see what I had written.  It seems like forever ago!  That was a good review even if I do say so myself!  It made me recall how much fun that last show was.  I'm looking forward to the next one whenever it may be.   :)  I will always go if they come.  I love them.  :)
