I had something like this happen when me son was two. We took him on a train because he loves them. He was very happy and making a lot of noise. An old guy next to us got mad and started to say stuff about shouting him up. My husband got up to see if he could get us different seats. I try to calm my son down which only made him start to cry. This made the guy very mad and he continue to say stuff but he was getting loud which scared both of my kids into crying more. We were finally able to move to different seats. Once we got off the train at the train station. This guy came up behind my son while he was playing and made a gesture like he was going to hit him on the back of the head.
Young children make lots of noise, people may not like it but they are going to have to learn appropriate ways to deal with it. If this guy would have hit my son they would have been prying me off of him.
