I think both types have their negative side, but I'm becoming very anti-plastic as a rule because it never, ever goes away. The cloth bags are the way to go but I am often guilty of leaving them in my trunk. Paper bags I can use for recycling newspapers. Sharon, one of the stores near us uses paper bags with handles - now that is brilliant. They feel stronger than the plastic bags and they're easy to carry as well.

Impossible decision, but I went with laughter because you can still be very, very happy and not be laughing.
