Gardasil protects against only 2 of the 15 types of cancer-inducing genital HPV strains, and its long-term effectiveness is unproved.
They tend to leave that information out when trying to convince you to get your daughter vaccinated. I'm still debating this one and we need to make a decision soon.
Anyway - I'd be willing to pay to have both tests done even if my insurance company is not. Thanks for the info, this is something I'll be talking to my doctor about this year.

We have a Starbucks in the grocery store a mile from here, and two more within another mile. I think that's plenty! I go to Starbucks when I'm on the road, most of the rest areas between here and my sons' colleges have Starbucks and I like their iced green tea.

Over time I've rec'd several emails and PM's from various people wanting to know all about the meetings with Tom and the Heartbreakers. Patty and I decided some time ago that we'd never talk about the meetings anymore, nor publish the photos. We've been over it so many times and we did post the photos at the time, and there was alot of negativity, bad feelings and jealousy connected with our good fortune that we decided to keep quiet about any further luck. Dana agreed.I thought it was great, and it is a shame that you can't share the story without people being pissy.

I don't know if this still holds true, but a friend of mine who worked as an ER nurse once told me that if it is a real emergency, arrive in an ambulance and you'll be treated more quickly.
