YAY, it's your birthday! :041: Hope it's WONDERFUL!
-
Happy Birthday, Toni! Here's a little Dave
to brighten up your special day:

Love, Barb

Mango (esp. in a Margarita, lol)
Banana
Pineapple
3 things you have to do before you leave for work in the morning
(or start your day whatever you do)

The story about the Waiting was cool. I always love to hear Tom tell that story. Eddie Vedder's story was funny. He was jealous of Tom!
Marion, that was one of my favorite parts! Can't wait to get the DVD so
I can pause and replay all the parts I wanna see again.
Loved reading your thoughts, Marion. Thanks for taking the time to
write them down.
-
Keep your hands to yourselfHa! I never thought of this one - that would be cool!!
-
^ All good points. Also, what about the Fillmore shows? Someone mentioned
that on the officials. I sure would love to see a "director's cut" - I'll bet there's
still TONS of good stuff laying around somewhere!
-
£25 million > $25 millionGood point, Mud. Damn that's alot of money!
I don't blame him one bit for wanting her to just go the hell AWAY!!!
-
Teresa - what an fantastic show that was! I love "Levon", too. I'd die
to hear it live. I do think that greatest hits shows are more fun for the
majority of fans. Unless you're die-hards, like we are with our band, you really
want to hear the familiar music from the band you are seeing.
I'm REALLY hoping to get my hands on some Van Halen tickets in November.
I'd love to see them.
(P.S. If you change your mind, can I go with your nice hubby instead?)
-
and does Tom really think he doesn't have a Southern Accent?LOL, Connie! In the theater, everyone cracked UP when Tom said that!!
-
Aimee, I see that thread over in "Best of Everything".
-
Beth! Fabulous photos and what a great time you guys had! Thanks so
much for sharing it with us!
-
^ I know what you guys are saying. When I adoped Anna in August, I
swear I had to go through a background check that definitely made me
squirm! Eek. This is a kitten, not a baby.
HOWEVER, I do appreciate that the organization (Friends Of County Animal Shelter) cared enough about their animals to be choosy about who adopts them. When I hesitated at signing the paper saying I'd never give her away if I couldn't keep her for any reason - they would take her back instead - the girl explained that it's the only way they have to make sure the animals stay in good hands.
I do understand that.
I think a case-by-case assessment should be common sense, though.
OBVIOUSLY, Ellen gave the puppy to a loving family and they should get him
back immediately!

mashed potatoes (especially the ones I make - former MIL's recipe - they're soooo good!)
Christmas cookies
pumpkin pie
3 holiday dishes you don't like but most people do?

waited so long....

For some reason, "Kicks" - by who? Paul Revere and the Raiders maybe?
-
Where is "all the above"? LOL

I think we had surround sound, too. And, it was cranked up LOUD! I'm so glad
that the S.D. audience was fantastic. They laughed and cried in all the right
places and really seemed to be loving it. It was all I could do to sit still!!
^ Sharon, I hate people like that, too. Shut the fuck up or go HOME!!!
Oh, one other comment on the crowd - every possible age seemed to be
represented. There were a couple of school-age kids, teenagers, college
kids, 30s,40s,50s, 60s, you name it. I loved that.
And the majority, thought not all, lasted through the entire thing.
-
Oh Christine. I'm sorry you couldn't see it on the big screen, but believe
me, the DVD will be worth the wait!
-
Yay, Sharon! So glad you all had a great time. How cool that you guys all got to see it
together. I'm like you - I can't sleep either. The movie just keeps playing in my head!
Oh, I loved all those cameos! Like Eddie Vedder, etc. I won't mention
the others yet. But they sure added alot of fun to the film.
Sharon I agree too, that I'm wanting to get out my old TPATH DVDs and
blast them tomorrow. Some of the early ones that I have not heard in awhile.
I have a new perspective on some of them now.

I have several pairs of shoes that I've bought and never worn. I tend to
keep wearing my old favorites. Not a HUGE purchase, but it adds up.
-
Mine's a drawer here in my desk. Just off the top of the first drawer:
"Terms of Service" for a cell phone I no longer have
"Quick Start" guide for my digital camera (still have not figured it out)
Expired pizza coupon
Letter from the DMV "reminding" me to renew my registration
Fall Sale catalog from REI
Old pair of sunglasses
A CD that Marion sent me that I've been looking EVERYWHERE for! (Yay!)
I think I need to clean out this drawer!! :icon_surprised:
-
Ha Ha! Count me in! Taking the day to savor the DVD sounds like a plan!
-
^ Relic, I know what you mean. During those big concert shots, I just wanted
to get up and sing and dance along with the music. I'm ready for a tour.
What a treat for you to see Steve Ferrone and Peter Bogdanovich!
One thing I loved was how there's so much great footage of ALL the guys.
And Tom really does do a great interview. I just love his sense of humor!
Also, it is evident how much the guys all loved Howie.
You know what else? I kept thinking how much our Anna would have
just loved this movie. I thought about her many times during the film.
-
I know! I'm so ready to talk about it! Thanks for your thoughts, Kelly.
Tonight's show was fantastic. The theater was full (I don't know about
sold out) and the crowd was great. Everyone seemed to love the show!
Myself, I could have happily sat there watching another 4 hours.
Can't wait till everyone's seen it!

I love theme parks, especially the Disney ones. My new favorite is California
Adventure. It has THE best roller-coaster and I love that cool "Glide Across
California(?)" where you really feel like you're flying over the state. It's very
awesome and very unique.
We took the kids alot when they were little, but I still love it just as much now.
(I agree that it's best to try to go when the lines aren't too long!)
