^ That's AWESOME, Nancy!
I absolutely LOVE Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons and always have. I saw
them a few times in Tahoe back in the late 70s. Frankie could still reach those
high notes!

^ I love it, too!

So tragic. I so relieved to read that Pepperdine is secure right now.
My good friend Debby's son is a student there. She's out of town and I'm sure she's worried sick. :085:

^ Oh god, I hate this. Year after year. I've been inside that "faux Castle"
last year at a reception for a Malibu. It was really something.
I only hope they can get a handle on this horrible thing before there are
anymore structures and lives lost.

^ Yes, he's handsome. It sounds like another case of the child never having
to take any responsibity for his own life. "Self-employed"? Give me a break!
Driving daddy's BMW at age 28. Hope he can turn it around!

My town goes back to the Roman times and i recently went to see a Roman villa which was being excavated nearby when they demolished some buildings to make room for a shopping mall, and there are prehistoric standing stones close by ,a smaller version of Stonehenge^ No kidding, Christine? How cool! They didn't demolish those did they?!
Well, I visit "Old Town" on a regular basis. Best margaritas and
chips & salsa around. LOL Seriously, I have not been to the Mission
since the kids were in grade school. It's not very far from where I
live. I really should go back one day soon. It's very beautiful.

TOO cool, Ames! I love when the Knobs do that surf medley. I can
hardly wait to see them in December!!

I hope you have the best birthday of all, Tom Petty! You so deserve it for all the happiness you have brought to so many people over the years.

Should I watch it tonight?
Should I watch it tomorrow?
YES!!! :045:

Have to say I agree with your school board. I know, I'm an old fogey. LOL

1. When people pronounce "nuclear" incorrectly (like Dubya does)
2. When people carry on "outside" conversations when you're talking
to them on the phone. I already don't like to talk on the phone, and
this just makes me want to hang up
3. People who talk during a movie in the theater (my sister does this and
it drives me nuts)

^ I can't say it better than all of the above. I love this place, too, and have made so many wonderful, lifelong friends here.
Thank you so much Mud, and Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers!

a Crisco-laden..

Absolutely not. This is not the school's job. If my child had gone to a school
that did that, I would have taken them out.
-
No, but I'd like to someday if I have a little land.
-
Well...that's a hard choice to make, huh?^ :icon_laugh: HAHAHAHA!!

^ No shit, Sharon? I had no idea!

Toni, based on your recent "Random Thought", here's another birthday treat!

-
^ LOL, same around my workplace - except of COURSE we never swear in front of the kids.
Once they're gone, watch out!!

I'm so proud of my city right now. There is so much destruction and just
awful, awful news here but everywhere I look I see people helping each other.
The entire city has closed down - schools, banks, mail, trash collection, etc.
There are evacuation sites set up all over the western county. At first, they
had to keep moving them because the fires kept coming further and further west!
I feel so fortunate that my little neighborhood has not had to evacuate. There
have literally been evacuations completely surrounding us. We had one scare and were ready to go, but then it got called off. Our things are still by the door, and cars packed, just in case. So many people have not been so lucky. And
I worry for all of the animals and livestock. There are lots and lots of horses
in east county. I've seen people on the news who can't find their horses.
But this town has really pulled together during this crisis. I saw it happen during
the '03 fires, too.
