^ Yummm! I feel like cooking now! Here's a recipe for "Melt-in-your-Mouth Apple Slices" that I found yesterday in, of all things, People magazine. I'm gonna try it! 1. Wash, peel & core 2 lbs. of Golden Delicious apples. Slice into quarters. 2. Place in large mixing bowl and cover with 3 T. sugar and 2 t. "vanilla-infused sugar". (<----not sure what that is - anyone know?) 3. Over low heat, melt 2 T. butter in large saute pan, until slightly browned. 4. Toss apples in butter, taking care not to caramelize the sugar. 5. Add 8 1/2 T. apple liqueur and set alight. (how fun! lol) Once the flames have burned out, remove apples and cool on wire rack. 6. Then, place them on a cookie sheet and bake at 250 F for about 20 minutes. Serve warm.
