  1. Take daughter to airport (sniff). Later in the day have traditional Italian Christmas Eve dinner with some close friends and their families. Tonight, going to church to hear one of those same friends play in her bell choir. ^ Gina, is your mom in town from Michigan?
  2. Hey Teresa, Nancy, Nurk and any other midwestern Farmers - hope all is well and you're surviving this weather in one piece! Sounds like it's pretty brutal out there!
  3. Welcome, CC! Nice to see you here. It's a fun place - enjoy!
  4. talking to! He..... (I couldn't let this thread die. It's been going for so many years!)
  5. I don't shop online too much, but here are 3 I've used this Christmas season: Target NBC Network store (for an "Office" -related gift) JewelryOverstock.com (do NOT use this site! The necklace was a piece of crap and it was NOT cheap! They did refund my money promptly, though.) 3 things you have left to do before Christmas?
  6. ^ Me too, MJ. I think I'm just gonna give up this year and look forward to next.
  7. I'll usually put in a dollar or two if it's the bellringer.
  8. ^ Hope so, PJ! Being editor is a HUGE job! You deserve lots of credit.
  9. ^ Oh thanks everybody! I'd love to be able to just pop over! Actually, I've had lots of (local, lol) invitations for dinner. Maybe I'll just go from house to house all day, eating! Ha Ha
  10. 1. What's the last movie you saw? In the theater it was "Across the Universe" 2. Are you gentle? Yes, unless something really pisses me off 3. Do you sleep with your bedroom door shut? No, my kitty Anna needs to get in and out 4. What's your middle name? Moore (maiden name) 5. Friday fill-in: I could learn to like having more money than I really need. LOL
  11. Drunks walking over you back and forth to the beer line LONG ass lines for the bathrooms People that keep yelling "sit down!" No, sorry, you'll have to stand! First 3 things you do on Christmas morning?
  12. ^ Ha! Good point Toni. Oh well, I'll take it. Good choice Beth Peerless! Sharon, I agree about Ryan Adams. I'm going to make a point of seeing him, too.
  13. ^ Sharon! If I can find a Law & Order, CI marathon, I'm sure as hell gonna watch it! LOL You're just jealous cause I found Vince first! :082: ^^ Thanks guys. I was feeling a little sorry for myself for awhile but I'm fine now. I always get the kids and I told them they're fine to go to the "other" side and/or with significant others this year. I didn't think they'd take me up on it! j/k
  14. HAHAHAHA! The title of this thread just cracks me up. It seems like it should be a "joke" headline, but it's real. That family is just so trashy.
  15. It turns out I'll be home alone Christmas Day, so mostly likely I'll play here at the Farm.
  16. ^ Patty, with my middle-schoolers, we work on that ALL THE TIME! The other trouble spot for them is when to use there, their and they're. Proper grammar isn't emphasized in the schools the way it used to be. I do though, whether the administration likes it or not!
  17. I like everything about Christmas parties except when someone (usually a woman, don't know why) starts talking about things that shouldn't be talked about, such as what teacher is sleeping with who, etc. Well, okay, that part is sorta fun, too. LOL
  18. Happy Birthday, Lady! Hope you have a great day! :113:
  19. Great choice! Such a gorgeous love song.
  20. EXACTLY!! Not worth the effort.
  21. I saw "Ratatoulle" and it was hilarious. James saw "No Country for Old Men" and expected to LOVE it. He was very disappointed in it!
  22. ^ I agree with "Maybe I'm Amazed", Patty. Also, "Layla", and there's a George Harrison song that belongs on the list but it's too early and I can't think of it. Someone else will. LOL Those are all good choices!
  23. She sure looks good for 82! Tim, my dad is that same age also and worked every day until a year ago when he finally retired at age 81. He and his wife travel all over the world still. 82 ain't what it used to be! Thanks for posting this, Christine! I loved that movie "The Queen" last year. She really is quite a woman.
