^ I'm excited that I just changed my avatar to a pic of my dolly grandbabies! : )
-
^ Great song!

Oops, my "browser does not support". But I love Paul McCartney and what a cool thing for those people to see! I agree Susan, he's an amazing performer, even still now.

Summerfest would most likely work for me, too. My now-Wisconsin-based son could come with me! 2 trips in 1!

Wine of the Week 9/4/132010 J. Christopher Willamette Valley Pinot Noir
In case you can't wait for the Pinot in the City event Sept. 11 at the Ebell Club, when 66 Willamette Valley wineries will be pouring their wares, here's an Oregon Pinot Noir to wet your whistle now. Though J. Christopher dates back to 1998, the winery founded by Jay Somers really got its focus when Somers brought in German winemaker Ernie Loosen as partner a few years ago.
And this 2010 Willamette Valley Pinot made from grapes grown in four of the Willamette Valley's American Viticultural Areas — Dundee Hills, Chehalem Mountains, Yamhill-Carlton and Eola-Amity Hills — is everything you could wish. Silky and nuanced, it tastes of plums, blueberries and forest, an elegant expression of Oregon Pinot Noir. Keep an eye out for the winery's more expensive single vineyard bottlings too.
I'd save it for a roast duck or braised duck legs, maybe a simple grilled hanger steak with sautéed mushrooms. Or a selection of cheeses.
Region: Willamette Valley, Oregon
Price: $27 to $30
Style: Classic and elegant
What it goes with: Roasted or braised poultry, grilled hanger steak, cheeses
I tried this one in a restaurant (someone else paying! LOL) and it really was delicious!

Okay Ryan, done! Thanks for what you're doing. And your car is HOT!
-
Oh Ryan and Benny, sounds like a lovely time you two had! It's always so much fun to get together with fellow Farmers, no matter when or where. Hoping for many more meet-ups in the future!
-
^^ Rick, so happy for your band's success!!
-
I've never heard of this before. Sounds cool! I love "Save it for Later" by the English Beat.

Residents in my apartment building may have a Halloween party. They did last year, and usually do. I think I may dress up as a girl from the 60s with go-go boots, psychedelic-print dress, and long, blond hair. Otherwise, I'm thinking of dressing as a flapper.
I have that costume, too, I call it my Stevie Nicks costume!

I LOVED reading that!! Put a big ol' smile on my face!

Jason Sinay's band.

Thank you SO much everyone! It was a perfectly wonderful birthday!

^ Okay Amber! It's you and me girl. Sounds like a winner of a trip to me!!

-
I chose "other" because in my down time at home I sometimes want to listen to music, sometimes want to read a book, sometimes want to surf the net and sometimes want to catch a good show. So, it just depends on mood and time!
-
Amber. Come stay. With your man. Any time.Hey, wait a minute! I changed my mind - I wanna go to London with Amber and her man, too, to visit Mikey T & wife!

-
I've been to many European capitals and loved each and every one. But I've never been to Rome (or Italy at all) so I'm going to choose Rome. One day!
-
Yeah, it's a really cool place. Kind of dive-y. I don't remember if I saw the Knobs there or if it was Jason's band playing.
-
Once in a while if one of the California teams are playing.
-
^ Yeah, I'm with you Benny! Sit up on stage at some great concert!
The idea of getting on an airplane to someplace cool is a good idea, too. Except then I'd have to get back on too quickly to come back again.
-
Ghost. Then I could spy on people.
-
Happy birthday Marky Sparky!! You deserve a lovely day! : )
-
^ Mmmm, twice-baked garlic potatoes!

I have to say only fair. I rarely cook, since it's just me, but even back when I was cooking for my family I got by, but it was nothing to write home about. Now, I love those cooking shows and would love to have a kitchen large enough to actually try some things and experiment a little.
