  1. Yep, I live just north of San Diego. Rick I would love to meet you! What part of town are you going to be in? I love meeting Farmers.
  2. That was a very interesting article. I never knew a lot of that info about him. Rest In Peace, Lou Reed!
  3. So very true! We must enjoy the people and things we love while we can. Thanks for that, Benny!
  4. I'm a little late, but hope you had a lovely day!
  5. Ha! I was a member when it was the "8-track tape" club! :095:
  6. Yes! I was in the Columbia Record Club, too. It was a good deal except when you forgot to send the "no thank you, not this month". I get so mad at myself when I'd get the record, along with the bill. Tom's so funny. I love his show.
  7. ^ That's okay. We're still friends. LOL Mikey, is gnocchi the one with potatoes in it? It seems like I tried that once and didn't love it. I like just about any other kind though, except for seafood sauces.
  8. Have a great birthday, Marcia, and I hope we'll get a chance to hang out again sometime this year. Do something fun today. : )
  9. Happy Birthday, friend! Wishing you a great day and a wonderful year!
  10. Happy Birthday, Lauren. Hope you have a wonderful day! :113:
  11. Of course! Who doesn't like spaghetti for God's sake??

    Yikes!!

Oh my god, Rick! I'm so sorry!! Hoping and praying for a full and speedy recovery for Linda!
  13. Took the babies to Legoland here in Carlsbad over the summer for a fireworks show. They do them every weekend in the summer there. I can actually almost see them from my balcony.
  14. ^ Why do women need shoes?? I'll just assume that was a rhetorical question, Benny!
  15. No, I WISH!! Still paying off my old piece of sh**. : (
  16. I voted "3". I don't go into restaurants often, but there's a local take-out place that makes the BEST veggie burritos and I go there 2 times a week at least. It's cheap and healthy!
  17. ^ Oh, Toni! They're my pride and joy.
  18. ^ Sharon, I remember Woolworths! We'd get our costumes there, too. Nothing homemade like at Susan's. I wanted the cheap 5 and dime costumes! LOL My sisters and cousins and I would have a blast on Halloween. In our little town, we walked all over the neighborhood. There was always that "one" house that you never went to, though. Guess that's the same everywhere! The lights were off and there was always something off about the place anyway. Probably a grumpy old man or woman, (about the age I am now!) LOL

    Hey Barb

No, I've never been to O.B. Noodle House, but if Triple D recommends it, I'll try it out! Thanks Benny!
  20. That would be amazing. I hope and pray it will come to fruition.
  21. No, we don't get any here in my building (apartment). But, I'll go out to my daughter's house to trick or treat with the grandkids. The whole family is dressing as Smurfs this year. Ha ha!
  22. Benny, you're probably an excellent cook!
  23. :icon_eek: Holy Smokes! I filled up yesterday and the price was $3.89. I don't know the price per gallon when I was 16, but I distinctly remember routinely putting in 50 cents at a time, and I could drive around for days in my little VW bug.
  24. Absolutely STUNNING! I want to go there now! Adding it my list.... Thank you so much for sharing those awesome photos. Is that you in one of the pictures? You're beautiful!
  25. I had a date Friday night and we had a great Margherita pizza. There are two slices left that in my fridge and I know they'll be calling my name around supper time. Meant to eat them yesterday but forgot.
