:064: Poking a stick at Tom Petty here.... How come Tom doesn't give Mike the same support for his Dirty Knobs? The Dirty Knobs have some incredible songs and more than enough for an album. Just saying!Marion, I've always thought that Tom doesn't go to the Dirty Knobs shows because he doesn't want the focus to be turned onto him. It's Mike's show and I think that Tom wants Mike to shine. I know for a fact there are some fans who only have gone to D.K. shows hoping for a Tom sighting. Tom probably knows that. That might not be the case for Benmont, I don't know. But what a great night for all!

I just heard this, too. I have it DVR'd! Can't stay up that late. Can't wait to see it!

IN-credible!! Sounds absolutely fabulous, Susan. Like a dream come true. So happy for you and all the rest of the lucky fans that were able to go!!
-
^ Very cool! Awesome connection! I did not know this.
-
^ Oh my gosh Toni, I could TOTALLY hear the Knobs doing that!
-
I'm excited to be seeing Steve Poltz and the Rugburns tonight. LOVE them! I'm even going to be "that" person and wear my old Rugburns T-shirt. It must be 15 years old by now. Ha ha!
-
^ Sounds pretty brutal, Rick.
No work here today other than cleaning and laundry. Tonight I'm going to see one of my all-time favorite bands Steve Poltz and the Rugburns at one of my all-time favorite venues, the Belly-Up Tavern. Been looking forward to it for months!

^ I love that guy, Jason Brown! I was totally rooting for him!
-
^ Oh yeah, Blow Up My Stereo! Love that. Remember that time they did "Dedicated Follower of Fashion" and Jason forgot the lyrics? That was so funny. He kept laughing.

I've been watching whenever I can. I love the figure skating and the slopestyle skiing. Also women's skeleton.

There are so many good ones. I love that Goldfinger medley too, Mikey.
I also love lots of the old ones they used to do like Anna Lee and Hey Joe.
And of course, love when they do Humdinger!

Happy Birthday Nightdriver! Hope you had a great day!

YepOr, maybe I should, 'yeah, yeah, yeah."
Ha ha! Me too. Remember it very clearly. That night is what started my love affair with music.

Would have been awesome!

I voted for "what's a snowstorm?" Like Amber, it was in the upper 70s here today.

^ I'm with Mud. Mashed potatoes. Especially the ones I make on holidays that are pure heaven.

I LOVE that my daughter's wedding on Saturday was one of the best days of my life!!! Great bunch of people, danced like crazy, unbelievably warm weather. Life is good.
I also love that I am done with wedding planning and preparations, lol.

Yay, Toni! That's wonderful. I'm so happy everything went perfectly.
Congratulations to the happy couple!

^ Oh Rick, that's terrible! What a pain.
I hate that one of my all-time favorite actors died today, Philip Seymour Hoffman.
May he rest in peace.
-
^ That IS amazing, Rick! Congratulations!!

No, didn't watch it today. Had my granddaughter all day and we went to the playground. I usually watch it for the ads.

Wow!!! Thanks so much for telling us all about the show Lotta and Papasnick! Sounds like it was very unique and incredible! SO HAPPY for you guys that got to go. What a treat!
-
^^ I like yours Amber! You go, girl!

We're having unusually warm weather this month. It's been in the 70s consistently and even to 80 from time to time.

Thanks a-lotta! : )

^ I'm not so sure about that. M.C. has said from the beginning that he wanted the Dirty Knobs to be a "bar band" and that's all. He was pretty up front from the beginning that they wouldn't be putting out any produced CDs. We have no way of knowing whether Tom has encouraged M.C. to put out a CD, but I've never expected it because (having been there from the beginning) I know Mike's original vision for the D.K.s was nothing more than a bar band. I got the feeling he wanted a totally different experience from the one he's had with TPATH.
And to be honest, that's what I love most about the Dirty Knobs!
