  1. I had the pleasure of visiting China in the early 80s, just as they were getting out from under the influences of Maoism, and the Cultural Revolution.

Marcia, we should talk sometime. I've been to China a few times, the first in the late 80s. I taught for a couple of months. And I've traveled quite a bit there.

I think the global economy is complicated. China has a place in it; that's for sure. Right now, we owe a lot to them, literally. They're helping to finance our national debt.

  2. 1. What TV show have you seen just about every episode of?

Probably the Monkees back in the 60s with reruns. Don't ask me if I remember them...lol

    2. What TV show can usually make you laugh until you cry?

I can't think of one. The 70s show is pretty funny; I don't know if I laughed until I cried.

    3. What 3 TV shows do you wish had not been cancelled?

I don't really have an opinion about tv shows. A lot of them end up in reruns.

    4. What 3 TV shows do you wish WOULD be cancelled?

Probably reality shows. I think they're made for a different demographic...

    5. Who is your favorite TV character, either past or present?

    I don't know. Maybe Snoopy...

    Holy shit...lol

I think groups like these are more about human psychology than religion and God. It's really bizarre how certain people are attracted to extreme views like these. And it's scary when they are in an organized group.

  4. 1. What month were you born? December.

    2. Do you like to hug? Yes!

    3. Do you run away or face your problems?

Whatever works. If the problem is best solved by ignoring it, I'm good at that. I can face almost any problem if that's the best way to deal with it. On the rare occasions that I run away, it's usually because it's not a big problem in my life. I can't see a resolution and/or I don't know how to solve it.

    4. How much change do you have on your person at this moment?

    Nada.

  5. Wow...I haven't been following this. I wonder what the combined market share of live nation and ticketmaster will be. Sounds like they will dominate the market. I have to laugh at "they would like to use their combined power to set ticket prices that more accurately reflect their market value." If the combined company is the market, any price they set will be the market value.

This part is scary. "The company also would be barred from retaliating against venue operators who want to use ticketing services from competitors. For instance, the merged company would be prevented from blocking artists it represents from playing in those venues." I hope this DOJ ruling is effective. Of course if the combined company has all the market share, there won't be many alternatives for artists. I guess the idea is to allow the company to merge on the condition that they create a more competitive environment for future competition??? I don't know why they didn't prohibit non-competitive business practices before. You might be right about those lobbyists, Sharon.
