Happy Birthday Lotta! I hope you're having a special day... Love, Ames

^Something like that happened to my renter. Her ex wasn't paying their credit card bills with the money she gave him during their marriage. She found out later, after her divorce. Now her credit rating is shot. It really stinks because she's raising their kid. Now she can't buy a house. The happy ending is that she has a great boyfriend who buys her everything! I keep going on and try to change things for the better.

surfnburn replied to Refugee's topic in The Dirty Knobs
I love all the photos posted here. Lotta, yours are beautiful! Marcia, I'm so glad you were able to show your painting. Cozy's makes quite a gallery, huh? Everyone loved it. Yes, hands are hard! You did an excellent job. I just have a minute. My other photos will have to wait for the weekend. Here are a few. -
Wow...I didn't know there was such a creature! I'll look for it. I've been downloading a lot of apps for my iPhone.

The Dirty Knobs Live At Cozy's! - 03/13/2010

I just got home. The show was absolutely amazing. It was so nice to see everyone again. I'll post some photos later. Thank you Dirty Knobs! -
As a child. I have so many hobbies. I was painting with my mother in her studio when I was old enough to hold a brush. I still love to paint. Same with photography. I spent a lot of time in my dad's darkroom when I was little. I loved good music from the time I was a kid. I don't know if that's a hobby, tho. It's a lifestyle if you do right..lol I love to travel. That has been put on hold. I love camping which is a childhood activity. There are more...

]1. Do you take walks? If so, where do you like to walk? Yes, in Oakland. 2. What does your hair look like today? Okay -- pulled back for work 3. What are you jealous of? People who have a special grandparent or mother to help with childcare. 4. What winds you up? I can't think of much. My ex does in a negative way. Beauty and art in a positive way. 5. What makes you stare? Usually when words fail me, I stare...... Or if I study something for a painting idea.

I think there's truth in it. I've discovered there's a world of people with mood disorders, emotional problems, psychological problems and life problems. So why not try to be nice? Why perpetuate bad stuff?

YAY Barb!!!!!!!!!

Okay -- I had to work and do a lot of cleaning, not what I would call a fun one. Next weekend however.........

That's what it sounds like to me. It also takes me back to a really special place and time, San Francisco in the 60s. I happen to know the Allmans were at that place around that time, too. The lyrics are wonderful. I'm sure they'll have differen't meanings for differen't people, which makes them cool. What does that first fash of freedom mean to you? The 60s fits the theme. First time tripping? lol That works. Freedom from parents, rules, restraints..... To love someone...

Tom Petty talks MOJO in Rolling Stone Magazine
surfnburn replied to Refugee's topic in Great Wide Open
^^I appreciate Tom letting the band diverge from the usual TPATH vision of an album. I don't know if that's an easy thing to do after so many years of success with his focus on the music. Some of us are already familar with the Knobs; we know Mike's unrestrained playing. This album is going to be amazing. -
LOL Smurfs... You guys are so bad!lol It's like a patriotic sugar rush.. It also reminds me of the staging of American Girl during the last tour.

No. I think they look weird...

I wear progressive, but they haven't worked for me recently. I need something more progressive...

Eric Clapton and Roger Daltrey Live Tonight!

Too cool, Nurk!!! -
Aww...thanks Beth...Hugs to you, too!!!! Actually, I think sitting 7 rows back from the stage gives you a better perspective. And I'm not just saying that to make myself feel better...lol I gave 2nd row seats to Gina one year and she said she couldn't see everyone on stage. I'll be okay, I think. $310 hurts a little; I better feel the earth move when they play for that price....lol I'll check out Tazzy but the bidding can get hot... I'm on a budget this year... Toni, how did you do? Are you going to Oakland? Let's meet up.
-
I'm going to cry. I could have used that ticket in Oakland! I've never been in the first or second row (or third, or fourth or fifth, etc)...EVER..Boohoo I was so busy at work. (Too many damn people needing blood draws..lol) I wasn't able to get online until 11am. This is what the A group was getting. Row 20! Jeez...I was getting those seats ten years ago before online stuff... I bought the package. But I got 7th row, B side, near the center for $310. Maybe I'll try for something better later.... All I can hope for is pop up show later in the season... I have no hope for a popular venue like the Bowl, but I'll give it a try next week. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Oracle Arena, Oakland, CA Sat, Jun 5, 2010 07:30 PM Section b Row 20 Seats 11 Description Price Level 1 Type Highway Companion Presale Ticket Price US $124.25 x 1 Price Details Facility Charge US $6.25 x 1 Convenience Charge US $17.30 x 1 SUBTOTAL US $147.80

"Email overload"? lol I think a little Pepto bismol might help with that...
-
Taking the day off....

I want what Nurk's smokin'...lol If people renewed last year and get B seats, try to find your renewal confirmation email. I think it mentioned priority seating as a benefit for renewing (when there wasn't a tour...lol). Maybe they'll give you your money back.
