First Part Tom Petty & Heartbreakers Tour Re-Routed
surfnburn replied to Refugee's topic in The Waiting
I'm not going to Boycott the band. I might boycott Livenation/ticketmaster. Yeah...I think the pricing was counterintuitive. Who's going to buy expensive concert tickets when their house is in forclosure? There's a lot of denial in management. I'm trying to keep the music in mind; based on what I've heard, I think these "guitar heavy" concerts are going to be amazing. -
I confess that my newly separated friend reminded me about how scary divorce is... Even when you don't like the person, it's hard to break the dependecy.

I'm blaming the economy. I think you're right, Ryan. It gives them more time to promote the tour, and the economy might improve a little. If you ever want to see a good movie about a bankrupt tour, check out "Festival Express". Janis Joplin and the Dead are great. I'm so sorry for everyone who lost money and can't see the shows. -

Wow...I feel for the people who lost out on the shows and travel costs. I don't think this has ever happened before. This is historic, like the economy. I hope the economic mojo will improve for everyone. I'm sure the band isn't happy either. -
all of the above..

Someone who cares about you. 4. What is your fondest memory? There are so many -- my daughter's birth, time with my parents, childhood memories. 5. Does time always kill pain? almost always

I don't blog much. I don't Twitter, drink or go to church. Facebook is just something to do. I'm sure I could replace it with something else. I don't eat out much. I'm happy with a good meal at home. I'd have to have financial independence to quit my job. Chocolate would be hard to give up. I'd have to be motivated by the love of a really hot guy..

Well heck...I'll have to try it... -
I think you're right about the travel contributing to it. I also think she was in denial because I'm sure their relationship wasn't as close. People tend to rationalize these things, especially when kids are involved. As for Jim Carey I don't think anyone should be talking about it; it's their business. The public trial bothers me more. Half the people I know have marital problems. No one has an opinion about them; they manage to work it out or not.

I never saw Terms of Endearment because it was released the year my mom died of cancer. I think it would be the one.
