  1. LOL @ Sharon I don't leave town; but I'll do a "home draw" once in awhile as a favor. I went to a convalescent home the other day to redraw a patient because the patient's blood I drew at the clinic was hemolized (the blood cells broke up into little pieces in the serum so it couldn't be tested with accuracy.) I drew a coworker's wife at his house this year. I used to home draws a lot when I worked for the hospital.
  2. ^I love art cars! I've been to art car festivals. They're great! A rainbow appears behind a sunlit St. Basil Cathedral after a shower in Moscow's Red Square.
  3. ^lol...It's nice to know there are other career options when I'm older...lol I was going to put this on the photo a day thread, but it's too funny...
  4. ^LOL @ Sharon.. Jeezz....I'd feel sorry for anyone who was in a shitty marriage and had a stressful job. I'd be headed for a high window ledge...
  5. This is a little mention about the film in a San Francisco Bay Area paper Tom Petty subject of documentary film Article Last Updated: 10/09/2007 07:36:20 AM PDT IT SEEMS LIKE, sooner or later, every musician on the planet becomes the subject of a documentary film. Here's a case where the celluloid is well warranted: "Runnin' Down a Dream: Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers." Fans of the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will be happy to hear that the director behind the project is none other than cinema legend Peter Bogdanovich ("The Last Picture Show"). The film has been selected to close the 2007 New York Film Festival and will likely see wide release at some point, but locals can get an advance peek during a one-night-only screening at various theaters on Monday. The locations are: Embarcadero Center Cinema, 1 Embarcadero Center, San Francisco, $15, 415-352-0835; Livermore Cinemas, 2490 First St., 925-443-7469; Rialto Cinema Elmwood, 2966 College Ave., Berkeley, 510-433-9730. Check with theaters for prices and show times. — Jim Harrington

  12. I love lost Highway... The mandolin is beautiful..
  13. ^That's beautiful. Gosh...there's something about the air in New York city during the wintertime... I love this one...
  14. ^yeah....he's not the best judge of behavior if pulling a gun is his way of responding to a near fender bender. It sounds like he's covering his ass. Maybe he's the one "scamming everyone"...
  15. I would wait and see what happens. December is a long way off. A lot can happen between now and then..
  16. Wow...It sounds like an awesome show. I love all the songs. Bryan and George are great. Thanks for the wonderful review, Sharon. I hope I'll have a chance to see them sometime.
  17. So there's nothing the police can do? That's sad. This woman has to fend for herself. I wonder if the school is taking the threat seriously. It doesn't sound like it. They're more concerned about their gun policy.
  18. I've named gray hairs after my ex husband.....lol Apparently it can cause liver failure, too. One of our patients told me that he drank because of the woman he married. Now it's killing him... He was laughing...lol. Poor guy.... Seriously, I think a lot of people turn to other, more destructive, ways of dealing with bad relationships and long-term stress. That will get you, too.
  19. WOW....These are great. ZZ you've been everywhere!! Barb and Sharon...What great memories you have... This is too cool.
  20. I don't think she has anything to lose by appealing. I'm sure she can't pay the fines she has already; she can always file bankruptcy later. It's all or nothing at this point. yeah...I knew they would get experts for the case, and it looks like they were able to track these things to her computer; as for her knowledge of computers, that describes just about everyone living in the Bay Area (near silicon valley). I have yet to read an article that has proven the recording business will improve by suing this woman. That's why they are suing her, right? This is so stupid. According to their assumptions, this should save the music industry. I'll be waiting to hear about those rise in profits. I hope they don't get too distracted by this to overlook the main factors in the loss of their income -- new technologies, changes in culture, competition, bad music, etc.
