  1. I'm going to my dear friend, Roxy's, son's wedding today in Stillwater, Minnesota September 21st is my son, Nick's, wedding to his fiancee, Sarah. It's going to be a big, formal wedding. I'm looking forward to it. As mother of the groom, there's not much I have to do. I picked the song for the mother-son dance at the reception: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T3wvUwb4p4Q]The Beatles In My Life (2009 Stereo Remaster) - YouTube[/ame]

The death of the legendary Grammy Award winning singer songwriter was announced on his Facebook page today. “We’ve lost a great artist and a great person tonight. JJ Cale passed away at 8:00 pm on Friday July 26 at Scripps Hospital in La Jolla, CA. He had suffered a heart attack. There are no immediate plans for services. His history is well documented at JJCale.com , http://www.rosebudus.com/cale/ and in the documentary, To Tulsa And Back. Born John Weldon Cale in 1938, Cale recorded 14 studio albums as well as his collaboration album with Clapton ‘The Road To Escondido’. 10. My Chris Isaak concert last night was excellent! Chris is hilarious! He came into the audience even up to the balcony where I was sitting. He sat in a woman's lap down the row from me. The music was beautiful! His voice is so good - such range! Besides his own songs, he sang lots of covers - Elvis, Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis, James Brown. Very entertaining show! And his suits were beautiful. Curt Bisquera, the drummer on some songs on She's The One, was the drummer for Chris. He and the rest of the band were excellent! A couple of my favorite songs: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYukNDs8hF0]Chris Isaak 2. - Wicked Game (HD) Live Chicago - YouTube[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6-WJCWzvs8]Chris Isaak 7. - Baby Did a Bad, Bad Thing (HD) Live Chicago - YouTube[/ame]

  17. July 18th, 2013 | 2:35 pm Rick Rubin’s Top 10 Comeback Albums by Ben Smith (@BHSmithNYC) 5. Tom Petty Wild Flowers (1994) Tom Petty’s first solo album since 1989 found him tapping Rick Rubin to help give him the strength to break free of the constraints of his band The Heartbreakers. The album’s at once full and sparse production generated the hits “You Don’t Know How It Feels” and “You Wreck Me” and was the first of three records Rubin would helm for Petty and crew. http://www.vh1.com/music/tuner/2013-07-18/rick-rubins-top-10-comeback-albums/6/
