  1. ^ Ha! You bet. If only my car could make it to Ohio!

Dylan and Nelson, minus Mellencamp, will be at Summerfest in Milwaukee. The date is bad for me, but I have to talk to my kids to see what they think. The tickets are cheap for a concert at the Marcus Ampitheater which is a really good venue.

  2. 1. How often do you listen to music? Everyday

    2. Do you ever listen to the radio? What is your favorite station? I used to in the car, but the car I have now doesn't have a radio.

    3. How do you find new songs, albums, or artists to listen to? My youngest son turns me on to new artists. Mostly I buy new music from old favorites (artists).

    4. When was the last time you bought a CD? A digital music file? Probably Christmas - CDs. I don't buy digital.

    5. Do you think any of the technologies and distribution methods mentioned above will still be around in ten years? Why or why not? Radio will be around. CDs may disappear, digital will remain.

  3. I believe in climate change like I believe the earth is round, and the sun is the center of our solar system. The polar ice caps are melting, and it really concerns me.

Our community has lots of stuff going on this week for Earth Day, but I'm not participating. They're planting trees, landscaping a new park, and the school kids cleaned up litter around town today.

  4. Posted by JohnsonBibbyWag yesterday in "There has to be a new album soon" thread in Great Wide Open:

Here's a Steve Ferrone interview from a Drumhead issue I picked up... there's a brief mention of a live album near the end. Our very own Steve fought off prostate cancer :) Here's part of the interview:

    Drumhead Issue 14, March/April 2009

JM: How long is the recovery period?

SF: A couple of weeks and I'll be playing. I'm in for a day. They have this thing called a Da Vinci, for robotic surgery. The surgeon actually looks at a 3D high definition TV, makes these movements with his hands on these little controls and this robot, that's actually inside of me, pulls it out through the belly button. The old procedure, you used to lose three pints of blood, you were three weeks in the hospital and it took a long time to recover. With this procedure, you're in 24-hours and lose only three teaspoons of blood. They said I'd be up working and back to normal, max three weeks.

    JM: That's great to hear.

SF: I know, it felt amazing, y'know, once I knew I'd be fine. I feel very blessed to have found out about this cancer early on.

JM: Do you have things on the books already planned after the recovery, anything with Tom that you're jumping right back into?

SF: There was talk of maybe going to Europe this year, or some recording. Right now they're putting together another live album.
