    Thanks, Nurk! I'll keep you all updated as much as possible. I'm just dreading tonight and tomorrow. The shore towns are getting pummeled and Sandy hasn't even hit yet!

    Has anyone heard from Beth? I hope they are ok, they're closer to NY and very close to the ocean.

    Will do, Tee. So far we just have a steady rain, slightly breezy. But "it" hasn't even hit yet. It's still a few hundred miles away. It's not predicted to hit for us until tomorrow night between 8 pm and midnight. They said as bad as it is going to be for us, NY and north are in REALLY bad spots! Yikes!

    I love scary movies! I love old those old classics too. My all time fave though is the original Halloween! When I went out to see Mudcrutch, I took the "Dearly Departed" tour and he took us down the street where they filmed most of it. All of the baby sitter's houses are on it, the house where she is knocking on the door near the end and they tell her to go away, thinking it's a kid. Oh and also, The Nightmare On Elm Street house is on that street too! Loved it! When I went out to see The Knobs last year, I took everyone down that street too, we had so much fun!

    1. What movies would you show? Halloween is right around the corner so all scary flicks for sure! The first Halloween, The Exorcist, The Shining, etc... Oh and Sharon's favorite - Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? LMAO!

    2. What kind of food would you serve? All junk food, of course! Pizza, chips, cookies, and candy. Oh and popcorn!

    3. Which childhood friends and crushes would you reminisce about? Tom Petty! Hahaha!

    4. Which trends and fads would you lament most? Stirrup pants!

    5. What board or card games would you incorporate? Ouija Board and although not a board game, we always did "The light as a feather, stiff as a board," where one person would lay down and we'd all gather round that person, each putting a couple fingers under them and lift them! It always worked! :eek:

    I know, that poor girl Jessica Ridgeway. :085:

    It's so heartbreaking. I think they are going to be tried as adults now because their names have been released. Justin and Dante Robinson. I hope they are sent to prison and get butt raped on a daily basis, have their food stolen, get beat up etc... Let them know what it's like to be a victim. They beat poor Autumn and strangled her to death. All for what? They wanted her bike! Oh and get this, the younger brother even joined the rescue teams to help find her and hand out fliers!

    It's so close to us, the next town over. It also hit close as this was the daughter of a local bass player and his wife. While I don't know them personally, we have tons if mutual friends between us and I've been out to see his band quite a few times. It's just heartbreaking. I hope they try these monsters as adults. They held a press conference yesterday and they did say they were going to push for that.

    TIL the young girl who has been missing since Sat. afternoon was found dead in the early morning hours, her body found stuffed into a recycling bin. Responsible for the murder were 2 teenage boys - brothers, 15 and 17. They wanted her bmx bike. So tragic and sad.

    I moved out of my parents house at 18 and lived on my own until I moved to Ca. and then back here. Counting every place I lived is a total of 6. My favorite was an apartment I had down the shore when I worked in AC. It was a garden apartment in a neighborhood and I was minutes away from the beach. I was also minutes away from work, which I loved, especially after commuting for so long.
