She was still good then because a year later cancer ravished her. But she was great that night and we had so much fun!

We're all safe here. No water, no damage and we never lost power. Believe me, we are extremely thankful.

So glad you're all ok, Beth! Thanks for checking in! All is ok here, we never lost power, which I am still stunned over. I thought for sure we'd lose it through the night, after the eye passed over us and the rain and winds picked up right back again. But, thankfully, we didn't. My heart goes out to everyone and to everything who didn't fare so well in this one.

Good to hear Trish. We're still good, but lots of people are without power all over the place. Not to mention dealing with the water, etc.. And sadly, like I said, the shore has been getting pummeled all day long. I imagine many people won't have homes to go back to even. Nurk, I know. Atlantic City, that boardwalk, brings back many memories for me. My parents took us there often when we were kids. My mom went there as young girl and after she passed I found pictures of her and her parents and siblings on that beach and on that boardwalk.

Ok, correction. A VERY LARGE PORTION has washed away. About 4 blocks. Still not good. I hope no more washes away.

OMG! You guys, my cousin Linda just posted on FB, she just heard the announcement on the news ` there is no more boardwalk in Atlantic City, IT'S GONE! :eek::085:
