Happy Birthday, Amylou!

Oops... almost forgot... Whenever I wrote to him, I adorned the envelope with all kinds of art.. and sprayed them with perfume, LMAO... in thinking that they would stand out and would surely get opened by SOMEONE.. and they of course would pass it along to Tom. God, I can't believe I am admitting all this! Wouldn't Tom be mortified today if he heard all this? LOL!!!

^ LOL!! I also came across my yearbooks and almost everyone who signed them said things like "I hope you get to meet Tom Petty one day," or they addressed me as Patty Petty...lol.

I confess that I use to write letters to Tom Petty all the time when I was younger.. today, while at our parents' house, I was going through stuff (there's so much STUFF! Ugh!)... and I found a letter to Tom from 1983 that I started, but stopped... got sidetracked I guess, lol. Talk about laughing. We got a good laugh over that. I also found a binder from freshman year with things like Tom+Patty 4ever, Tom Petty is a fox!, I love Tom! written all over it. Oh the shame! The shame! :icon_redface:

LOL Barb... I am in the crowd. I had to watch it a million times before I finally saw myself. It's funny because I knew the majority of people in that video. They all hung at The Galaxy (one of the clubs Cinderella played back then).

I have admitted this time and time again... but I LOVE the hair bands of the 80's.... and I love all of the ones listed... but I chose Cinderella only because I knew them and was seeing them long before they got signed. I was even in their first video, "Shake Me." :003:

I was no fan of Charlton Heston... I hated all of those type of movies he was in... Ben Hur, The Ten Commandments, etc... B-O-R-I-N-G!!!! I remember we watched them all in our 8th. grade Social Studies class and the only reason I looked forward to it was that I could sleep! LOL! I also never approved of his politics.... BUT.... Having said all that... it seems he suffered for quite awhile... and no one... NO ONE should have to suffer like that... I hope he is now resting in peace.

Oh wow... 2 more shows? Coooooool.

Last night I was out with a friend of mine and she was telling me about an acquaintance of hers.. this girl... who had gone on a cruise in early March and met a guy. They immediately hit it off she told everyone... and upon their return home, they continued to spend alot of time together... they were soon an item. Well she announced to everyone a few days ago they had jetted off to Vegas and gotten married! EVERYONE fell for it. I mean, she had this joke going for a month. The best was, her friends and everyone she told, also told this wonderful story of "love at first sight" to people they knew, etc... So her story was on an even bigger level. LOL! I mean, my friend had even told me and I believed it! Hahaha! I just had to share.. I thought it was pretty funny. :003:

Tara! And anyone else looking for Troubadour tickets.. there are more tickets that have just been released! get over there! I am still floating on Cloud 9 here. I am so happy right now. I cannot wait for this. Three weeks seem so long away.....lol.

^ She's right, Tara. I wouldn't cancel the flight or anything yet. You have a little time to work this out. Let me tell you a little story... I don't know if you remember back in 2003, for The Vic shows and The Soundstage shows. The Vic shows were announced/added AFTER The Soundstage Show. They changed the date of Soundstage. We were devastsated. Lots of us had planned on going to that Soundstage show... emmie and myself, along with a few others (Chris (AmericanBoy and a friend of his), had booked flights, hotel.. etc... scheduled time off work, you get the picture. We were all put on the guest list, so that we'd all at least be insured that we'd get at least one Vic show in. We were still a tad distraught that we didn't get to see The Soundstage show.. but those 2 Vic shows were amazing. So...you never know! Don't give up, Tara!

Thanks everyone! I really was freaking there a bit...lol. I was about to give up, too, but I thought "nah, let me try a few more times." Low and behold.. BAM! It came up! I also called out sick so I could get in on this presale today...shhhhh. I HAD to, though. I just HAVE to go! We don't have internet access at work... I had no choice.

Oh Tara! I am so so sorry! Yes, get on the phone with Ticketmaster! Where in the hell did it say only US residents could buy tickets! That's a bunch of crap! Ugh! :085: Well, here is MY dilemma.... I did get a ticket for both the Friday night and Saturday night show. BUT... the Friday night show, I never typed in the security code on the back of the credit card. I was in such a hurry to get it and get back out so I could try for Saturday night. I did get the confirmation emails, etc... but I was panicking because I didn't want them cancelling them or anything. Argh! Anyway... long story short... I managed to calm down and breathe and then I phoned Ticketmaster... took awhile... have to go through all the automated stuff first and then was on hold awhile... but the woman I spoke to was very nice and understanding and assured me my orders were sent through and processed. She said the reason it went through without the security numbers was probably because I have used this card before for other events and the card is in good standing and so the card is like "on file." Whew! Man, I was sweatin' it though! I am glad I kept trying.. like Linda urged me to do...lol. But honestly, I was doubtful I was going to get that second show. It took me about 20-25 mins. before it popped up for me. Persistence surely paid off for me this time.

Ugh, that's so horrible. WTF is wrong with people? I'm sorry, but people like this should be killed. That poor little girl. Thing is, she will be haunted by this for the rest of her life. And I also don't buy the "I was abused as a child myself... therefore, that is why I did this." My father and his 2 sisters grew up in foster homes... they suffered alot of abuse... until they finally landed in a wonderful woman's home.. "Mom Nolan." Long story short.. so yeah, my father was abused... and never ONCE did he lay a hand on me or my brother. I am so sick of everyone passing the buck. You commit the crime, you pay the price.. it is YOUR fault. Pffffff!

I sleep pretty soundly... on occasion I wake up at least once to go to the bathroom... but then I can get right back to sleep.... I consider myself lucky.
