LOL.. yep, it was Nikki.. I know my Crue. (Sorry...it's a guilty pleasure of mine :003:) I think I saw him coming a block or so away...hahahaha. I said to Kianna " Is that Nikki Sixx?" "I think that's Nikkie Sixx... IT'S NIKKI SIXX! Is it?" LMAO.. She confirmed it... she said "I think it is.... yeah, that's him..." By the way Linda... it was so very nice meeting you. I am so glad you came over and introduced yourself. -

Great pictures, Ryan! And it was so wonderful to meet you finally! I wonder how my pictures will come out. I used a crappy disposable... and only snapped a few. The Troubadour was cool.. and small.. but they did NOT want people taking pictures, that's for sure. I almost got nailed... the guy on Tom Leadon's side saw me the one time and was motioning to and pointing at me.. but the guy who was on our side didn't see me, and I had quickly put my camera in my pocket and totally dummied up.... LOL. It worked... thank goodness. I heard the next day they threw out something like 10 people the night before... jeeze. I haven't yet read all of the reviews, but I am sure I'd just be repeating the same old thing. I am so glad I made the trip out there... I had an amazing time. Tiny is not the word for The Troubadour! I could not believe how small it was. I knew it was going to be the smallest place they played... but wow! I just couldn't get over it! I also have to say that Crystal River quickly became my favorite upon the first time hearing it last week before I left.. but hearing them do it live? BLEW ME AWAY! I said to fandlinvegas (by the way.. it was GREAT meeting you.. you rock... and I am so jealous of you.. going to all of the shows this week, lol).. anyway, I had said to her during that song that you need to listen to that song with headphones on OR lying on the floor between 2 speakers, smoking a joint, LOL! Actually, you don't even need a joint because that song really takes you away. :020: If you have the chance to see any of these remaining shows... run! Don't walk! Run and go see them if you can! Oh by the way... me and fandlinvegas saw Nikki Sixx and his son driving by on Saturday.. Nikki was straining to see the sign to see who was playing. I guess he thought "who the heck are all these people lined up to go see?" LOL! -
Thank you so much everyone! I had a really super day! It involved having my hair done, discovering some never heard before Tom songs (from sessions with Stevie), meeting a really cool person who is going to share his music with me, treating myself to a couple of special things, being taken out to dinner, having an awesome birthday cake at home, and opening some really great presents. Yep... it was a really super day! Now... it's time to hit the sack as I must wake up early and get ready to fly to California for Mudcrutch! YAY! :003: Thanks again everyone!!!

^ Oh gawd! I can relate! When I was moving out to Ca. back in 2000, I held a huge yard sale. I literally fought with people over stuff. I didn't sell things on principal alone... ie: my mom at the time wanted to sell a few items, so I said "yeah sure, we'll put them out." One of her items was an iron, it was a million years old..... all yellowed.. really LOOKED ancient. She put a sticker of 1.00 on it. Well, I also had an iron to sell.. however MY iron was brand spanking new almost... only used a few times.. I forget what brand it was, but I was asking 5 bucks for it. Well! This woman was beside herself. Couldn't for the life of her understand why my mother's iron was a buck and mine was 5. I said "LOOK AT THEM!" She said "well I can't understand why this one (pointing to my mom's) is a dollar, and this one is 5." I said "THIS (pointing to my iron) is brand spanking new! I only used it but maybe 5 times. Bought it at Macy's, paid 50 bucks for it..." She still couldn't get it through her head, wanted MY iron, but only wanted to pay a buck, I told her get lost. I said " I'll give it to someone before I sell it to you." THEN! I had a woman... I had a whole table full of little odds and ends... mostly costume jewlery, some sunglasses.... etc... I had this little chinese lady buy a pair of the sunglasses... 2 hrs later doesn't the idiot come back, wants a refund! I said "This is a yard sale lady! It ain't no store! Beat it!" LMAO! My mother said to me "You're so mean Patty." I said "That's right! I hate people like that! Morons! A refund? At a yard sale? I'm sorry.... they're idiots!" WTF???? :003:

This week in particular? Easy... today was Monday, tomorrow is my Friday! I took off Wed. (my birthday) and then Thursday morning I fly out to California for Mudcrutch! WooooooHoooooooooo!

I confess that I get much delight in seeing people being clumsy... tripping, falling, etc... My friend and co-worker Mike tripped over a mat yesterday at work and went flying... how he did not fall was beyond me! :043:

^ Thanks. Poor Krissie... it is so heartbreaking to see how this cancer in her bones is debilitating her. it looks like someone put their hand on top of her head and pushed her torso down into her pelvis. She has always been a small girl, about 5'1"... now? I think she told me she is 4'9". Why don't the bastards of the world get terminal cancer and go through this shit? Let all of the scumbags who rape and murder little children suffer like this. But noooooo... how fair is it? It makes me so angry!
-
I hate that my very dear friend Krissie is so weak and in so much pain, even talking to her on the phone most times is out of the question for her. I hate that I want to see her and I know she wants to see me, but she feels so bad and has no energy, I know how hard it is for her... I HATE FREAKING CANCER! :085:
-
Today I learned that she isn't fooling anyone... especially me.

Oh wow, a loooong time ago. I can't even remember the last time for any of them. Beth, I used to work with a guy at the casino who used to build those really elaborate sand castles. He used to enter contests. He was so good! He did stuff like this..... He was amazing! He would bring in pictures from all of the contests... those people were so talented. I remember one in particular he did... he titled it "The Fish-go-teque" (ie: The Discoteque). He made fish dancing, this big octopus was spinning the records.. it was unreal!

 ^ You cheated!? *Gasp!* LOL, just kidding! It's all fun!

OMG! I remember The Richard Bey Show! I forgot all about that one! Hey! Who remembers Fernwood Tonight? It was a parody talk show guest starring Martin Mull and Fred Willard. Hilarious! Miami Steve, I also remember James At 15.. with Lance Kerwin! LOL, God! I can't believe I remembered his name! Hahahaha! Wow, it was only one season, huh? I remember watching that show.. seemed longer that it was on... then again, doesn't everything seem longer when you're young? LOL! And Sharon! It's A Living! I LOVED that show! I think that show was what gave Ann Jillian her her popularity back then. Don't get me wrong, I liked her... but where was she before that show? And she was pretty popular there for awhile back then, remember? I think she left the show, though, at some point due to her having been diagnosed with breast cancer... :085: Ugh, and I also remember that show Small Wonder, Sharon. I HATED that show too! How weird was that little girl who played the robot daughter? She freaked me out! LMAO!
