I confess it made me so mad to see a friend of mine post on Facebook about wanting to get this dachshund puppy for her girls.

    Let me explain.

Her girls are 7 and 4. They're HORRIBLE. Last year, on their way home from the shore, they stopped to see me for a bit. We hadn't seen each other in a few years. Her girls were the most evil, misbehaved children I have EVER met! They tore around the house, so destructive. Sue and her husband sat there saying, "Stop it," "Don't do that," etc etc.. I was mortified. The dogs were mortified. Sage had her cone on all the time then, so she wouldn't try and chew the bandages off her leg. The one little girl, (I forget which one), kicked Sage. Not hard. But still! A little kick. I had to say something. Not Sue, not her husband. Then the oldest girl kept going over to the bird cage and started twisting the screw thing to one of their mirrors. The mirror crashed down in the cage. The birds went nuts. Again, Sue and her husband did nothing. I had to race over there and make sure all was ok (thank God the mirror didn't break or anything), but I had to reprimand the kid and tell her to please leave the birds alone. She was scaring them.

AAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHHHH! I'm sorry! I just had to vent all that! No way in HELL should they have a puppy or ANY animal for that fact.

Oh, Patty, that's awful...I hope they don't get a puppy either, they'll hurt the poor baby!!!!!

My confession: I didn't get anything done today cuz I only got 3 hours sleep and didn't take my daily nap...lol. Dad always told me "Don't put things off to do tomorrow when ya can do them today" ...well, today was an exception..LOL....hopefully I'll get a good nite's sleep tonight and get alot done tomorrow :):)

  3. Sugar, after reading all the posts, it really depends on your son, what he really is wanting to do. When I was in band, our director would have understood all this with the tickets and all, but that was back in 1970-73. Our Tenor sax section was 5 guys and 1 girl, and if one of them were absent we adjusted. Guess band directors today are more strict on this sort of thing and I guess it depends on how many tenor sax players he has, but I wouldn't dare lie or have an excuse for the absence....if you/him called in sick saying that's why he couldn't be there, HERE they expect a doctors' slip saying why. This is probably confusing or making the matter worst on the decision, but just thought I'd add the input......yes, please let us know how it all turns out....good luck :)

  4. I love everyone's good news...it's about time for all of us to have it, I swear!!!..lol

My good news and I love it are:

    My mom is 100% better

The weather is 89 degrees with low humidity

Fall is just around the corner

AND I get to visit with a friend I haven't seen in like ages tonight

    Life is good!! :)

  5. ^ Emmie, I loved reading that, it was sweet!

Only have dog(s) now. Used to have my kitty Mojo and my baby Bobbi (dog) and they got along good, Bobbi would let Mojo do anything to her and she would just sniff at him...they were buddies, slept and ate together.
