  1. I am just so proud today!! One of my fostered elephants...I foster for a very special group of people....is now in Ithumba and on her second step at living wild. Shukuru is a beautiful elephant that came to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust...she was so tiny and so scared. But the keepers gave her much love and the best care...and now she is in Ithumba (just got there this morning) It is so hard to explain all I am feeling....but I will see her soon....there among the wild elephants

  10. Wish I lived closer, Susan, I would help you  We moved here to this acre and a half property on December 21, 1985 from the family home I grew up in in Bayville. That first Christmas, our little home here looked so bare but I still tried to make it look homey. I remember going to H and L Green's and buying dollar scatter rugs for the kitchen.......to the grocery store buying apples and oranges to put in the big old yellow ware bowl from my Grandmother. Fred's sister had let us borrow a table and chairs for our dining room. I was working at the Holiday Inn cleaning rooms...and took off Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Fred went out and bought the tree and I came home to decorate.....I have such beautiful memories of that time. We have made this little home our own now....and I truly love it
