Here you go. This was the best thing I have ever bought.....it has saved my back....but more importantly, gave Smokey his dignity and his ability to "walk" with me. :heart:

Thank you so much, Trisha, Barb and Patty for these wishes for Smokey :049: Last year, the Vet said I would be lucky to have him another year...he had the beginnings of DM. Well, that really upset me...not just for the fact of it but how this Vet said it. She is getting older now and I truly think she needs to retire. I have been going to her since the early 70's. I try and get the other younger Vet when I go. So I started reading about DM.....not such a great idea. All the writings scared me but I found some articles that said it was not the end. One of these articles said the best thing was walking....movement, however small...everyday. This past June is when Smokey's back legs started to get weak. So I knew a wheeled cart was the thing...looked up some carts and got one in a few days. Well, Smokey would not have it at all!! I tried several times....but I could see how frightened he was. I found out about a harness that lets you lift your dog and still walk with him. He loves it!! I think with the wheeled cart, he saw (knew) he was having trouble walking and that scared him...but with this Help Em Up Harness, he walks with me. And it has sure made it easier for me to let him in and out. I will try and put a photo of him here with his harness. He always wants to go all the way to the back of the property....it is quite a ways back and he is pulling all the way. But....coming back....he is slower. I finally got the garden cart with a blanket on it to wheel him back.

Thank you so much, Amber, Rick and Lotta for these Birthday wishes for him. He went out and walked all the way back to the compost piles in the back of our property. I had a cart with a blanket on it halfway coming back for him. He goes so fast going but it is a long way and gets tired coming back....so this is the first time I used the cart coming back. He rested on the back deck for a bit in the sun, too, with Fred and Mikey :heart: That is not a cake but a Birthday hat. It lights up, too, but Smokey does not like things on his head....it does look very festive, though :113:

Yes, all over the US....and this last time in London at the Royal Albert Hall. That was a show to treasure forever.

Maybe to speak before an audience..but anything else, no. You hear the word cancer and nothing can ever come close to scaring you. Ever. You get scared in the hearing the word....and then you get going.....

It was this past October on a beautiful hill top in San Andreas, California. (A bit too cold here for bbqs at the moment.....but they will come.

40 years today....it all went so quickly....

I love small venues...the Troubadour was like a dream to me, I had always wanted to go there. The Royal Albert Hall....walking into that beautiful space and be surrounded by it all....was pretty amazing, too....Madison Square Garden is always electric, no matter where you sit. I love concerts...live music :heart:
