All great songs by him. Micky is just such a nice man....have met him twice now. The second time, all the musicians at the Happy Together Tour were at the table waiting for us to come and chat...but Micky, he came to us in line....

^^^ Sorry :085:
Susan, hope you had a great time!
Look forward so much to going to Philly this week...this is going to be amazing!!

Oops, meant to finish writing...getting tickets does not phase me anymore. There are so many more important things. As for getting a job, I know I can always get one if I wanted. I hadn't worked in so many years but got that job in Macy's that Christmas season.

Neither one is a hassle to me...

1. What's one of your favorite "little things" to enjoy life?
Walking on the beach just listening to those waves....or puttering around in my little greenhouse when it is cold outside (like today!)
2. What's been the most useless purchase you have ever made?
Mmmm, can't think of anything right now. I am not so into shopping for useless things.
3. What do you consider the soundtrack to your life?
The Beatles and Jackson Browne
4. What one ridiculous luxury would you take if you were filthy rich?
I have always thought about having a concert and inviting my friends...maybe rent out the Royal Albert Hall in London! :003: That, or go with Fred on the Royal Scotsman train....
5. What's a memorable tv ad you have seen?
Can't think of any...
6. Do you have a problem doing things alone sometimes? ie; eating out, going to the movies, etc..
I like doing some things alone, yes....but to eat alone....or go to a movie alone, no...I don't have a problem with it but not something I would like to do...

Here you go. This was the best thing I have ever bought.....it has saved my back....but more importantly, gave Smokey his dignity and his ability to "walk" with me.

-
Thank you so much, Trisha, Barb and Patty for these wishes for Smokey :049:
Last year, the Vet said I would be lucky to have him another year...he had the beginnings of DM. Well, that really upset me...not just for the fact of it but how this Vet said it. She is getting older now and I truly think she needs to retire. I have been going to her since the early 70's. I try and get the other younger Vet when I go. So I started reading about DM.....not such a great idea. All the writings scared me but I found some articles that said it was not the end.
One of these articles said the best thing was walking....movement, however small...everyday. This past June is when Smokey's back legs started to get weak. So I knew a wheeled cart was the thing...looked up some carts and got one in a few days. Well, Smokey would not have it at all!! I tried several times....but I could see how frightened he was. I found out about a harness that lets you lift your dog and still walk with him. He loves it!! I think with the wheeled cart, he saw (knew) he was having trouble walking and that scared him...but with this Help Em Up Harness, he walks with me. And it has sure made it easier for me to let him in and out. I will try and put a photo of him here with his harness.
He always wants to go all the way to the back of the property....it is quite a ways back and he is pulling all the way. But....coming back....he is slower. I finally got the garden cart with a blanket on it to wheel him back.
