  1. This wasn't meant to be WWIII... seriously guys...give it a rest. It's not a big deal, K? You know what? This is ridiculous! How about everyone just stop replying to this thread, k?
  2. I DIDN'T MEAN THAT I FOLLOW THE MAN LIKE HE'S A GOD! I MEANT that when I read interviews or see Tom perform or hear his music I hear lyrics that make me think "You know, he's right! I just found out that that would be something that would be nice to believe in and follow!" It's not like when I hear something that comes out of Tom's mouth that I don't agree with I'm going to try to conform myself to fit that! God!
  3. I'm sorry that I have an opinion and I'm sorry that was the most special moment of my life thus far. I'm regretting writing this and posting this, it's just making me sound like the dreaded "Margo" as you said, when it was just meant to be a fan's perspective of how I enjoy the music and how much Tom means to me and how much that band has helped me find out so much about myself. Jesus Christ! Can you just give the analytical shit a rest!?
  4. I don't understand what all the fuss is about. I'm excited for this, actually. It's a nice, fresh combination of material...and I've been looking for some of it for a long time. Honestly, I'm rather ecstatic.
  5. ^^ Marketing Strategy... I'll get it anyway. I want to see that Mystic Eyes performance!!!!
  6. I wonder why I'm still up...
  7. =D All of you will really love it. My favorite band (other than Benmont and the Scrolls) was the Cold War Kids at the beginning...
  8. I just saw this movie last night. Some of you may be familiar with it. :003: Benmont is in it with his new band "The Scrolls" for one song (about four minutes long) and they show him a LOT. In slow motion, too. But he doesn't talk... I give it 5 stars...some of the music I couldn't get into because it wasn't my thing, but all in all it was great! It had a great message to it and it was really informational. If you don't know what it's about already, it's about modern-day slavery and human-trafficking. You would be amazed at what goes on here that you didn't know about... Anyway, I'd really recommend this movie!!! www.callandresponse.com
  9. 1. What bores you to tears? Honors Algebra I 2. How do you like to waste time? I like to daydream during Honors Algebra I 3. Do you speak your mind? I speak my mind TOO MUCH...sometimes. 4. Do you run away or face your problems? Depends on the problem. 5. Friday Fill-in: On Saturday, I plan to go see 1964 the Tribute!!! Yay!.
  10. I'm spoiling myself today. I don't do it often enough, but this is gonna be well-worth waiting for.
  11. Personally, I could give a damn whether the band likes the record or not. It's like when I used to be obsessed with a certain musician and my friends would say "oh, you shouldn't like that! He didn't like that!!" My point was that the music of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers really makes you wonder about things and it brings back memories of places and things that no longer exist. And, 'girl world?' I don't think so. Just another example of what happens when people look too deeply into things.
  12. ^ I wish I could take you with me!
  13. Well, I was just expressing my thoughts at the time. I thought it was damn good for what it was, and no, I'm not some suicidal person that is going to slit my wrists. And I only singled out Echo because that was the album I was listening to at the time. If you read the whole thing, I'm talking about Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers in general not just the Echo album.
  14. Aw, thanks. My dad's idea that I put it up. I was forced, I tell you! =P
  15. ^....Oops. I'd like to see a picture of the Nashville Skyline.
  16. I wish that tomorrow would get here faster!!!
