    But I just started writing and I couldn't stop. It turned into this. One of my friends asked me to put it on here and see what people think....here goes nothing...

    When you forget how good Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers are..

    Listen to the Echo album. Don't worry if you cry. That's what you're supposed to do. Look deep in the eyes of love and find out...just what you were looking for. This is the only album that's sad and dark, but it's still got that happy, optimistic twang to it. Like you are crying and bawling but still laughing at the lyrics or at the way Tom sneers when he sings a certain line...or Ben's little bounce that he did just then....or Mike's solo....or you're crying over Howie and then you remember that he IS NOT from the South. He is NOT from Gainesville, Florida. He's from MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN! Yeh...those times are golden. Those are times that linger on until days and days afterwards. Those times that you'll look back on when you're old and grey and Free Fallin' comes on the radio. There is NOTHING more special...than the moment when Tom Petty smiles at you and nods. NOTHING. No one can tell you different. Same with Ben....just knowing that these were the guys that shaped your personality, the guys that shaped your beliefs...Free Fallin' was my anthem as a small child. I just didn't know that it would still be my anthem as a young woman, and it will be my anthem as an adult. When Tom's eyes met mine...I realized that anything can be possible. Anything CAN be real. And like he said about 30 seconds after that moment, one day I WILL fly over my troubles. Fly over my worries. And, Ben, thank you for being so kooky...thank you for blowing me a kiss and just...being you. So if you ever forget just what what you were looking for...give Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers a listen. Let your emotions loose. No one cares if you bawl, laugh, smile...that's what they want you to do. That's their goal...is to make you feel...and re-live those sweet moments...like, in my case, riding down the highway singing Free Fallin' with my mom. Only Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers can bring those moments back. Only time fades away.
