Pavarotti's sensational new will says singer left fortune to children, NOT wife Opera star Luciano Pavarotti left the majority of his fortune to his children and not his second wife a sensational new will revealed today. Crucially the will - dated December 2006 - was written in Pavarotti's own hand and not later dictated to lawyers as subsequent wills were, that were published following his death last month. The document was released by lawyer Silvio Vezzi, who represents Lorenza Pavarotti, the eldest of the singer's three daughters by his first marriage. Scroll down for more ... The Maestro with wife Nicoletta and daughter Alice Sources close to the daughters said today that the will "represented Luciano Pavarotti's true desire" and was deliberately leaked following the publication of two other wills last month. In these Pavarotti, as the law allows, left 50 per cent of his estimated £200 million estate to second wife Nicoletta Mantovani. The remaining 50 per cent was equally split with his three daughters. Part of this share also went to his four-year-old daughter Alice, who he had with Mantovani, but there was controversy when it later emerged a second will had left his entire £12 million American patrimony including apartments in New York, paintings and bank accounts entirely to Mantovani. Lawyers representing the three daughters Lorenza, Giuliana and Cristina have already said they plan to contest the "American" will and there will also be further intrigue over the December 2006 will. Scroll down for more ... Pavarotti's three daughters Lorenza, Cristina and Giuliana, at his funeral In that document Pavarotti left Mantovani only the family home at Pesaro and half of two companies they jointly owned - the rest and therefore the bulk was to go to his four daughters. Although the December document has no legal value it is thought the daughters will use it to contest the American testament. The will was given to state TV broadcaster RAI, to which the daughters gave their only public comment following their father's death last month after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Today a source close to the daughters said: "What is intriguing is that this will, dated December 2006, was written in Luciano's own hand. "The other two wills dated June and July this year were both dictated to lawyers so in simple terms the first will written in Luciano's own hand remember is the complete opposite of the other two. "The daughters believe that this will from December was their father's true intention and find it a complete mystery that within six months he completely changed his mind." Friends of Pavarotti have revealed since he died how Mantovani, 37, had become "obsessed with money". They also described how the Maestro had been close to splitting from her after four years of marriage. The source added: "This will from December perhaps indicates that as friends of Luciano have said all was not well between him and Nicoletta in the final months of his life." Today notary public official Luciano Buonanno, who recorded the "American will" said: "One thing I remember that day is how cold the lady of the house (Nicoletta) was. "She appeared very nervous and acknowledged my greeting without even shaking my hand and then she left for the beach. "At an earlier meeting I hadn't been happy about some points of the American will but I was told that it had all been sorted by his lawyers and I was not to change anything." Today Mantovani was still in New York with Alice and her lawyer in Bologna was unavailable for comment.

THE DAY BRITNEY LOST HER KIDS Caroline Hedley In La Caroline.Hedley@Mirror.Co.Uk 03/10/2007 Britney Spears (BigPicturesPhoto.com) Even by Britney Spears' standards it was a crazy, mixed-up, emotional roller coaster of a day. The troubled singer seemed curiously unmoved as she handed over her children to ex-husband Kevin Federline's bodyguard 24 hours early yesterday. But inside, Britney - who lost her two sons because she failed to follow ANYof a judge's orders about her drug and alcohol abuse - was barely holding herself together. A friend said: "She is absolutely devastated but she's internalising everything. It hasn't even begun to sink in. "Those boys are her world and if she loses them for good she's lost absolutely everything. We are all hugely worried about her mental health." Explaining why Britney later checked into a hotel, the friend added: "She couldn't face the thought of going home alone. "Seeing the kids' toys everywhere would just be too much for her to bear. When she got to her hotel room, she sobbed like a baby. She can't believe this is happening." The day began as Britney, 25, took Sean Preston, two, and one-year-old Jayden James for lunch at fast food restaurant Carl's Jr before calmly handing them over to one of Federline's minders. She then headed to the Department Of Motor Vehicles where she is said to have "checked her status" before arranging to sit a formal written test for a driving licence. She also had a tanning session at Bel Air salon Epitome, where onlookers claimed she looked strangely "unemotional". Britney later left her Los Angeles hotel in a car driven by a friend - with a pair of baby shoes dangling from the rear view mirror. Former dancer Federline, who also has two children from a previous relationship, is said to be "over the moon" at his custody win. He has spent thousands of dollars preparing for his sons' arrival, installing special gates around his pool and making his bachelor pad "kiddy safe". A source close to the aspiring rapper claimed: "He tried to reach out to Britney but she won't take advice from anyone. He's genuinely worried for his boys and thinks the best place for them is with him." Britney married 29-year-old Federline in October 2004, but filed for divorce last November. The split became official on July 30. But since finding herself single again, Britney has appeared increasingly erratic and out of control. She has been partying hard at various Hollywood hotspots and on at least one occasion was snapped wearing no knickers. She also shaved her head as photographers looked on, beat a car with an umbrella and ended up spending a month in rehab. Britney was described by an LA custody judge as a "habitual, frequent and continuous" abuser of drugs and alcohol. A month ago LA County Commissioner Scott Gordon ordered her to clean up her act to keep her 50/50 custody deal with Federline. But despite his warnings, she failed to meet with a drugs counsellor, submit to random testing, enrol in parenting classes - or even sign his official order. Federline's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan went to court and won full custody of the boys. The last straw came when Federline saw pictures of Britney driving them while not holding a valid California licence. She is already facing charges relating to an alleged hit-and-run incident and could get up to six months in jail if convicted. Britney was officially ordered to hand over her sons by noon today - but chose to give them to their father just hours after the judge announced his decision. She seems to have given up her bitter custody battle and last night even her lawyer Sorrell Trope admitted: "We weren't able to prove compliance with what the judge ordered." The singer's former bodyguard Tony Barretto - who claimed he witnessed her taking drugs and letting staff take care of her youngsters - said he welcomed the custody ruling. He added: "I am happy to know that her children will now have a safe and more stable environment. "I believe that Britney loves her sons but I was concerned about some of her behaviour, which I believe endangered them. "Because of this new court order, Britney will seek and receive the help which she obviously needs so that one day, she can be reunited with her children." But he said he was not confident that she would find it easy to get a new, valid driving licence. He claimed the last time she took the written test she got only three out of 35 questions right. No sign she will ever do enough to win back her two boys By Miriam Daily Mirror's Agony Aunt Thank heavens the law, in the form of Los Angeles Judge Scott Gordon, presiding over the case of Britney Spears V Kevin Federline for the custody of their two little boys, was not an ass and found in favour of the father. Nonetheless, one quakes for two-year-old Sean Preston, and Jayden James, one. Their dad, a former back-up dancer for Michael Jackson, left his previous girlfriend, with whom he had two children, to marry Britney. He's only the lesser of two evils. In this country the children would have been made wards of court rather than entrust them to the care of such reprobate parents. Britney's fall from grace was spectacular in both speed and depth but I have to confess that her former squeaky-clean image teamed with schoolgirl knickers made me nauseous. It is hard to feel any pity for the woman. She has openly courted disaster: driving without a licence, driving holding a puppy, driving with a child on her lap, and has been charged with a hit and run offence. All this in addition to her multiple boozy parties and failed admission into rehab. She has terrible taste in friends - Paris Hilton and junkie popstar Howie Day. Her bouts of bizarre behaviour - shaving her head, a suicidally bad performance at the recent MTV Awards - are no doubt drug-fuelled, to the extent that her agent and her lawyer have deserted her and her new employers, the Las Vegas Palms Casino, have torn up her £60million contract. She couldn't sink any lower. What can have brought about such a descent into ignominy? Britney's childhood wasn't a joyride. The daughter of a frustrated stage-struck mother, who dragged her from one audition to another and later controlled her entire life, private and professional, she made a bid for freedom by severing all connections with her. She stated she wanted her own children to have a normal upbringing. I think her two sons have hardly lived a normal minute in the company of their drug-sodden mother. The way back will be incredibly hard for Britney because she is weak, self-indulgent, deluded and wholly irresponsible, dangerously so. She doesn't have a determined bone in her body. She could start to claw her way back to normality by toeing the line that was clearly drawn by Judge Scott Gordon. She needs to have random drug tests, see a therapist at least once a week, hire a parenting coach and sign up with an LA programme "parenting without conflict" with Kevin. Somehow she has to realise that she owes her two sons a decent healthy life, a decent healthy mother and a decent healthy relationship with their father. She needs the support of strong people the way an alcoholic needs Alcoholics Anonymous. She has to start surrounding herself with people who are interested in her well-being and the wellbeing of her children, not her cheque book, not her drug binges and not her sordid life. Given her track record I doubt if Britney feels one iota of guilt or shame. She simply feels badly done by. Unless she can step up to the plate and take responsibility for all her actions I'm afraid there's no hope for her. The sad fact is that I am not sure Britney is in any more pain at losing her kids than she would be at losing a puppy. Maybe this is because she was never allowed to grow up. She is still that schoolgirl. She let other people do her growing up for her.

One day two drinking buddies, Jim and Dave, were working on aircraft at JFK airport in NYC. They got fogged in and finished up their work early and were sitting around bored. Jim spoke up, “Man I really need a drink!” “You know I heard a rumor you could drink jet fuel and get drunk.” Dave said. “Really?” said Jim. “That’s what I heard. Wanna try it?” “Sure, hell I’ll try anything once!” So with that they poured themselves a couple of glasses and began drinking the jet fuel. They sipped a little bit to find it actually tasted quiet good. So they drank more and more and sure enough they got stoned drunk. The next morning Jim awoke feeling like a million bucks he jumped up went to the bathroom feeling great like he was floating on air he hadn’t felt this good in years. “Wow!” He said. About that time Jim’s telephone rang… “Hello?” “Hello Jim, this is Dave. How are you feeling this morning?” “Man I feel great, no hang over, no sick, I feel like a million bucks. How about you?” “Me too, but I have one question for you.” “Sure, what is it” “Have you farted yet?” “Ummmmm No. Why?” “DON’T. I’m in Phoenix!”
