I might have to agree; it's always hard to rank 'em, but Echo did come across as really raw

I think it would've fit in great between Burnt Out Town and Shadow People, a rebuttal to the former and a prelude to the optimistic finish of the album.
I wonder if this was written prior to Mudcrutch 2 and Tom brought it to them to use or during the making of that album.
    cheers

    Thanks for sharing this, MoneyBecomesKing.
I like this though it feels more like a Mojo song than Mudcrutch. Heck, I could even hear this on Hypnotic Eye.
What a catchy riff and great bridge! This is really good, should've been on Hypnotic.
    cheers

REO Speedwagon cover of Listen To Her Heart starts at 3:33 in this clip, complete with glow sticks! There is a stand alone cover of Listen To Her Heart on youtube from their Jacksonville show in 2015, but the sound quality is not great on that one....

And (probably...open to correction) Steve's first live TV show performance with The Heartbreakers, 21st November 1994....You Wreck Me..
I loved Steve's free wheelin early drumming style personality with the Heartbreakers from around 94 -99....was more 'free' in style in those early years I think...he still has that in him but he plays the way Tom wants him to play in terms of not too much flash being the order of the day which has become more pronounced as time has gone on.

GAM reacted to dollardime in Tom Petty and Mudcrutch Teamed With Sean Penn and Anthony Hopkins for 'I Forgive It All' video
This really is an impactful collaboration on all fronts, certainly struck a chord with me..it's a video that takes me back to the video releases Tom and the Heartbreakers released in the MTV period...where the video itself was a short movie either complimenting the song or indeed on many ocasions taking the song in a different direction altogether,,,Walls (Circus) and Swingin' spring to mind immediately as examples of that.
The video also puts me in mind of the Johnny Cash 'Hurt' video in feel and atmosphere...some heavy duty stuff....It also reminds me of the 'Into The Wild' movie from a few years ago that I saw a couple of nights ago here on DVD, having read the book of the same title years earlier that inspired the movie, screenplay and directed by Sean Penn with great performances by Emile Hirsch and a brilliant Hal Holbrook....check it out if you havn't seen it already....and music sound track done by a certain Eddie Vedder whose song from the movie called 'Society' (the best song on the sound track by a long way in my view) could easily be the soundtrack of this 'I Forgive It All' video...so yeah...a lot of interesting connections there....
On the video itself, it is just as Tom's songs are, often deceptively simple, but with multiple hidden layers. I'm kinda conflicted about Hopkins character at the very end with his 'I forgive it all' shout...it seems more a shout of anger than regret or indeed redemption to me...maybe the Hopkins character was the mayor in the Burnt Out Town cooking the books and dancing on glass ceilings while the filthy money flows.....Power Drunk...but now sobering up as his own mortality is coming into view.....he passes the down trodden Shadow People person with the slumped shoulders who is trying to save some water for the war that is coming on the judgement day while going up the stairs...only turning back to realise that they are actually there as he reconnects with his humanity in the face of his own mortality....Hypnotic Eye sees it all......
Maybe 'people are what people make em and that ain't gonna change'...even with impending realisation of ones own mortality...maybe that is what the 'I forgive it all' shout in anger is all about at the end of the video, he can't ultimately hide from his greedy nature even if it was ultimately a bad thing, he can't shake it...who knows...
This would also be a great song for Tom to cover...so covering two threads for the price of one with this youtube clip!

GAM reacted to dollardime in Mudcrutch 2016 tour concert clips and footage
Benmont gets assertive here when Tom gets into a bit of scripted 'play the piano' mode on Crystal River...he plays the piano the way he wants to play it in that moment for a few bars which is interesting to see on a lot of levels and indeed hear of course.....these Crystal River versions never disappoint, Randall cuts loose here for a bit too! As someone who has never seen Mudcrutch live, but the Heartbreakers many times, these unscripted variations are a real additional thrill I have to say! Benmont should get assertive in  a few Heartbreakers shows for a few songs like he is here...would love to hear and see the results. As I'm catching up on these clips from the second half of the tour I can't help but be reminded of when Rick Rubin noted that ''in many ways what these guys do is a dying art'' in the RDAD documentary.....with Mudcrutch you can add even more extra gravitas to that quote. In may ways like a lot of other things in life, it's only when they're gone that they'll be fully appreciated...although I believe that Farmers here have a head start on everyone else in that regard!

I don't worry too much about a fire at the Fillmore (excluding the performances, because Mudcrutch WAS on fire!).
They're are two additional exits on the west side of the building with stair cases leading down, plus an elevator/lift that they use to load-in/out the equipment that people could use.
And, yes, it was an INCREDIBLE show on Sunday. And, if you can believe it, Monday's show was even more stellar!
'Crystal River' was for sure awesome both nights as the closer, but I feel that 'The Other Side of the Mountain' has taken over as the favorite jam-out song, for band and audience.
When Tom Leadon introduces his song, he's so happy and proud to describe it as "the first psychedelic bluegrass song"!
And, with Herb Pedersen propelling the whole thing with his incredible banjo playing it's hard to disagree!
And man, it SMOKED last night!
Afterward, when the wild applause, whistles and howls died down, Petty laughingly said "Well, if you can't jam at the Fillmore, where can you jam?"

Filmore show sounds great!!  As for TP, he looked good to me at 3 shows I saw.  I've heard he's got a bum knee/leg so that may be why he doesn't move around a lot.
