Ames, excellent article. Yes, it was a long read but well worth it.
I have experienced this first hand. Years ago we took a cruise out of Los Angeles. When we got a few miles out all of a sudden there's garbage everywhere. I remember seeing alot of plastic milk cartons and babys disposable diapers. Very strange and disturbing.
I'm glad to see that someone has taken this problem up as their crusade. Hopefully some of the powers that be will take the issue seriously before it causes total devastation.
You know there are actually people who don't think these environmental issues are all that serious. I'll bet these are the same kind of folks that said nothing could be done about pollution some forty years ago. Now look at what's happened. Alot of major cities cleaned up their acts and turned it around. Even some major rivers, like the Willamette River up in Oregon was rescued. With alot of hard work and committment, it can be done.

It's good to see that they're starting to put two and two together. You're right Carol, so many of these diseases go hand in hand. it amazes that so many physicians still don't pick up on that. But I do think it's getting a little better.

It use to be called the UC Bank building in L.A., I don't know what it's called now. It was seventy-something floors. I will never EVER go up that high again in a building. It scares me to death, especially in light of 9/11.

Only every now and then. I just don't have the patience for it anymore. I use to be a real Ebay-a-holic! Then one day I got into with this guy because he emailed me I thought he was trying to trick me out of bidding on this item. Well anyway it turned ugly and we both got stern warnings from Ebay, lol. Let's just say, I'm alot more Ebay friendly these days. That incident sort of cooled me down.
