  1. WHAT? Wonder what stupid nonsense this was all about? Well thanks NBC! So let me get this straight, you have us suffer through a lame performance by the Pet Shop Boys and few other artist I could have done without seeing, but you edit rock legend Ray Davies performance? And I'm sorry I have to be honest while I thoroughly enjoyed the games I watched about 10 minutes of the ceremonies and then I turned it off. For me it was way too much going on. I'm so done with these short attention span over-productions. I'm an adult I can actually sit and watch an artist perform without all the background antics and distractions. But I do realize these closing ceremonies are traditionally huge glitzy, star-studded productions. Thanks for posting his performance here, Sheila!

  2. Rick, that's one of the reasons I don't go see some of these older performers. Some people don't know when to throw in the towel. I loved Grace Slick and I have to give her points, she knew when it was enough (for her). She's now had some wonderful success with her art. She was able to move on from that life. That being said, I'd also applaud the performers who continue on and are still doing well. BUT, there are some who need to just let it go. I've seen and heard of some of those acts and it's sad to watch. You have to know when it's time to say Good-bye. At this point, seeing the Monkey's, I could take it or leave it. I probably get more joy watching them on Antenna TV reruns. I loved the Monkey's back in the day but sometimes the truth is just the truth and that's all there is to it. We're getting old folks, lol.

  3. I've been fortunate enough to see them live many times. My first show was way back in 2003 in Ventura. It came right after I got back from Chicago for the Vic and Soundstage shows so I was still on cloud nine. Meeting Mike and Ron was like the icing on the cake for that week. I remember being SO excited I couldn't even talk. lol. And seeing Jason play for the first time really blew my away! I'm so sad that I'm going to miss them at Soho's this month. It's my favorite place! But I know all you farmers will have a great time and share your stories, reviews and pictures with us. So I'm happy for that!

Susan, you're coming to CA in January. We must talk. :)

  4. (((Susan))) I'm so sorry you're having to make this very difficult decision. I know this is so heartbreaking for you. This is very hard because we love our pets so much and we want to do what's best for them. They're our family. But in the end you have to feel comfortable about the choice you make for you, Bailey and your family. I honestly don't know what I'd do if I was in your situation. But if she's not going to get better from this then maybe you need to talk with your vet and discuss if there are other options. Most of the time deep down we really know the answer but we're not ready to go there. You know Bailey best and you have to wonder is she happy living like this? Susan, I wish I had a magic answer for you but I don't. But I do know whatever you decide, you are NOT a horrible pet parent. Don't ever think that. I pray you have peace with whatever decision you come to. You're in my thoughts.
